Overall Rating
SCE, Dehradun is definitely a very potent name when it comes to Engineering Colleges of Dehradun. It is famous for its management program. I am doing BBA from here and can proudly say that rather than choosing various self-financed universities of Dehradun, which charge pomp in the name of fees, I have chosen a wiser option. From fees, to infrastructure to faculties, overall our college is very good. It has left a lasting impact on students who study here.
 

Academics Rating
Most subjects are similar to BMS course and so are the theories and case studies. Still, in just two semesters, I have learned things that I know my first choice, which was to pursue, B.Com would have never taught me. Admissions here are simple, filling of the admission form, which will be followed by a small personal interview. After which, more or less the admission is guaranteed.
Fee is Rs. 60,000 as tuition fees and Rs. 10,000 as registration charges. Including taxes and all, our final fee is close to Rs. 80,000 a year.
 

Faculty Rating
I am awe struck with their teaching. Due to their vast experience, they have dealt with thousands of students now and understand how to deal with students. Hence, they have molded their teaching methods over the years. So, if one thinks that only course has to be upgraded, I think faculties too should upgrade themselves as SCE faculties have done that and they are students’ favorite people to talk to in campus.
 

Placement Rating
If I look at the past placements, they are thin for BBA as all limelight is on engineering.
 

Hostel Rating
I am from the quaint town but there are 30% outsiders and college has reserved the hostel facilities for them.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus is unique, as firstly it is close to FRI, which is Dehradun's top visited site. Hence, a hustle and bustle close to our campus is seen. Area of the college is around 15-20 acres and there are five separate buildings for each department. There is just one large auditorium and college have its own sports ground too. There are two cafes and a ‘U’ shaped garden that has the hoarding of ‘I Love Shivalik College of Engineering.’
 

Campus Rating
With just 4 hours of classes, campus life is quite easy. I commute through bus facility provided by the college and so it makes it even easier. We have a two-day annual fest called ‘Shiva Fest’ and Engineering students also enjoy their tech fest called ‘Shiva Tech’. We lack flamboyancy as crowd is normal and so is everything but for me my campus is quite peaceful.
