Jai Hind College Mumbai: Best Education and Educators

Overall Rating
Jai Hind is one of the most prestigious colleges of Mumbai. It is a blend of both co-curricular activities and equally good academics. I was part of several college committees which inbuilt a lot of confidence in me. We have a fest named "SHOUT" which brings people from various departments together. Jai hind is just minutes from marine drive, giving a brilliant ambience. So even if someone is having an exhausted day, the whoosh of fresh air will instantly make peace.
 

Academics Rating
I completed my under graduation in B.com (Hons.), specialization in Banking and Insurance (BBI). With my experience, if you have a keen interest in Accounting, then pursuing BAF would be the safest option. I am little unaware about the entry requirements of today, as we were the COVID batch, therefore we had an entrance test to scan our abilities and capabilities. My academic life helped me to hone my skills, it made me a persevere learner, a great communicator and also enhanced my social skills.
Fee structure varies from aided to unaided course, aided courses are slightly on an expensive side, however the unaided courses are feasible. My course was the part of the unaided curriculum, so our fee structure for the first semester was Rs. 17,000 and by the last semester, it escalated to Rs. 27,000 approximately. There are certain advantages, scholarships and special discounts available for the people coming from special category like disabled, partially disabled, or having any sports achievements.
 

Faculty Rating
We have extraordinary faculty. The professors are different for different departments. Our professors were so flexible in terms of work, and were easy to interact to. We used to have several group discussions, which also helped the students to engage and interact. They never restrained us from taking part in co-curricular activities. The students along with the teachers maintained a perfect balance between the academics and extra activities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Stating facts, we do not have a proper campus; we are only confined to two buildings, which is more than enough for colleges in Bombay. Due to the lack of space mostly all the other colleges have the same campus size. We have a canteen, which provides the most delicious food. Keeping the Bombay weather in mind, every class has centralised AC.
 

Campus Rating
We have many inter college fests, interaction is inevitable and this is what is so unique about our college. The college is in south Bombay, therefore you will see the best crowd of Mumbai in Jai Hind. There are various clubs such as Enterouage, Endevour, The social and Dramatic Union, etc. Every single student will get a chance to at least participate in one of the clubs. I will highly recommend to choose Jai Hind College over any other autonomous college in Mumbai.

    Jai Hind College has honestly been the best part of my college life. The campus might be small but it is packed with everything; well-equipped science labs, classrooms, library, research labs, psychology labs and my favorite spot, the Gymkhana.
