Exploring Campus Life in Jai Hind College Mumbai

Overall Rating
I have been at Jai Hind College Mumbai for around 5 years now. In my opinion, it is one of the best Colleges in Mumbai. I had an amazing experience in terms of events, extracurricular activities and academics as well. The faculty here is top-notch. I would recommend this College for various reasons like its reputation, the crowd, the networking opportunities and many other things that they offer. The College also supports the students for internships. It helps you manage the academics along with other commitments. Moreover, the guest lectures, workshops and industry exposure is an attraction for many.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Bachelors of Accounting and Finance, because Finance is my forte and something which interests me. I wanted to pursue this course since my foundation in the same is very strong. There are 2 semesters per year in my course at the College. The academic and admission process is very smooth.
The College usually charges fees per semester, and major portion the fee is for the tuition fee. Discounts and scholarships are available for students from financially weak backgrounds.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is excellent. Many of them have studied from this College itself. There are few industry professionals as faculty members. The experience that they hold, in my opinion, stands out. I like the way they teach and the teaching methods they have adopted. They teach using a variety of flowcharts, practical learning methods accompanied by industrial visits and more. They make us feel like home. Moreover, even if the students ask the same doubt repeatedly, they would still be patient with all.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell at the College and it is very helpful. Most of the deserving student gets placed at the best possible companies. We get induction and training sessions. Apart from that, there are many workshops held for activities like CV building and interview process which helps you at every step.
 

Hostel Rating
I am not actually aware about this but I think they do offer residential facilities to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus and infrastructure of Jai Hind College Mumbai is excellent. We have many sports facilities including 3 Pickleball courts, Basketball courts, etc. and facilities for indoor games such as Table Tennis, Carrom, and many others. The computer and the science lab of the Institute are also very cool. The auditorium is also very spacious and is well-maintained.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is definitely different for different individuals but for me, it had been a great experience. I’ve been a part of various committees and clubs throughout and I feel that the experience that students gain from there is the highlight of College experience for many students. They have societies for varied interests including Psychology, Sports, Finance, Dance, languages like Sindhi and Marathi, Cinema, etc. There are a wide range of activities held at the College including traditional days, festivals, historic events, launches, 2 to 3 day fests, movie promotions, quizzes, sessions, and so much more.

    Jai Hind is one of the most prestigious colleges of Mumbai. It is a blend of both co-curricular activities and equally good academics. I was part of several college committees which inbuilt a lot of confidence in me. We have a fest named "SHOUT" which brings people from various departments together. Jai hind is just minutes from marine drive, giving a brilliant ambience. So even if someone is having an exhausted day, the whoosh of fresh air will instantly make peace.... Read Full Review

I got this college through a scholarship scheme as I am form Kashmir but I didn't knew before that this is a very nice college. I recommend this college to students if they want a great exposure....
