Exploring Campus Life in SRM University KTR Campus

Overall Rating
SRM KTR Campus is one of the top engineering colleges in South India. It is so famous that forget about national students, students from all over India and even international students come and study here. Global student exchange program is also there at our university. So, the best exposure, infrastructure, faculties and quality placements are given. Hence, everything for which a student enrolls at a college is available here.
 

Academics Rating
B.Tech CSE at our college has a lot of inclusions and therefore our course has become too vast. Our course includes topics like AI&ML, Data Structure and almost every programming language. Notes are provided in the class by our faculties and same is taught to us through PPTs in the classroom. So all in all, academics here have been kept simple as come to classes and practicals often and one will pass the exams easily.
A little over 4 Lakh is our annual fees and there are a few scholarships, about which one can enquire at the admin office.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are available whenever we want to resolve our issues. If I had trouble with one of the subjects and I approached my faculty and she was all bits and guns with me. Helped me out and asked me umpteenth time do you need more help. So, one can expect help from them at will. The reason why our university is so famous is because of our faculties.
 

Placement Rating
IBM, Microsoft, Honeywell and more such tech companies visited SRM KTR campus for placements.
 

Hostel Rating
The university has hostel facilities. From single occupancy to triple occupancy and from AC to Non AC rooms all kinds of rooms are available. Even meals provided are excellent as many choices and variety is there in our meals.
 

Infrastructure Rating
SRM KTR campus is a larger than life image. The main administration building is amazing, as three-floor building. It has the admin offices on 1st and 2nd floor and the top floor has the central library. Lifts are there in all academic blocks and even residential blocks have lifts. There are numerous auditoriums and the biggest of them has a seating capacity of over 1,000. In sports, we have various play grounds and even residential area has seperate courts for volleyball and badminton.
 

Campus Rating
Since a large part of the campus is of outsiders, management has made sure all are treated fair. Security wise, guards are there at all parts of the campus and hostels are guarded well too. In our annual fest ‘MILAN’ students of other colleges are invited and a total of 50,000 or more students participate. Even our Tech Fest saw participants from over 100 colleges of India.

    My experience here overall is good. I choose this college as it was offering the course that I wanted and has a pretty good infrastructure and facilities.     The university is nice. The infrastructure and the surrounding are nice. The university has fest and clubs to keep students engaged. Beside this the university has regular hackathons and certificate competition which helps individual to perform and showcase their potential in the field.
