Student Life at DAVV Indore: Clubs, Activities, and More

I have completed my first year in this University, so overall University environment is good, senior are helpful. The University as great alumni and it well established and was form in 1998. Even l gave other Law entrance exam but that University was so far from my home and there were also not tier 1 or 2 University and these University is also quite affordable and a government University too which the legacy of good lawyer and judges. There is not that much big building of this University not to fancy in looking but let is the peaceful palace to study in small batch size with all basic law students resources available.

I took admission in this University though CUET. This University is famous for its academic in one semester thrice the internal took place 2 written tests and 1 assignment in which 2 are compulsory to give but you can also give all 3 and then after end semester took place. Also one more think there is girl’s reservation in this University also there no seat resaved for SC, ST, and OBC from other states rather than only MP domicile State can apply for the categories other people from these categories are treated as general.

The University fee is minimum, which is approx. Rs. 30,000 for one semester and for year; it is Rs. 60,000 including all admission, registration and tuition fee.

I my batch there are 60 students. In addition, teachers are mostly with the PhD or purchasing PhD as temporary teacher there are from null or good law University. Mostly backboard and group discussion method is used for teaching. Teachers are helpful and friendly to approach. There are 15 to 20 teachers including library staff and exam cell and other facilities that do not specifically teach. Teacher are there for all the students and also other value added courses also take place for that other teachers are available.

There is no placement cell. DAVV (School of Law) is mostly for people who want to do Judiciary or Litigation.

Yes hostel facility are available but it is the hotel of university not a specific department, there is seperate boys and girls hostel also lt is quit affordable as it is the government college approx 25 k is the annually fees . For girls hostel timing is 8 pm and boys 9 pm after that they can not go out . But it we talk about hostel infrastructure and activities for recreation is not that much good. Mess charges are paid monthly that is 2k . The food is average but no breakfast is available in mess and also on Sunday evening no food is available in mess. I do not stay in hostel but all this l know because my some friends stay there. There is limited seats in the college l do know exact number of seats but there is 4 hostels for girls and 4 or 5 for boys but as l said these hostel are for all the students of university so students are way more than the hostel strength so it get filled in the start of the sessions

School of Law has a small building but the campus is good as it is located in main DAVV University. All the basic facilities are available in the campus along with all kind of sports grounds for basketball, cricket, football, badminton, etc. is there also there is a small canteen and coffee house in the University. In addition, the security of the university is also fine. If I talk about my department, there is a library and moot court of our own. There is university library that you can use and there is a big university auditorium.

There use to be many fests in the University and in the university; you can take part in both. Big advantage of being in a university main campus is you will always have some feat of competition in the University or university going. There is many club in the University like legal aid, moot society, legal research cell etc. also there are students union actively working in University they have many clubs for environment, sports and cultural events. I have taken part in many events in university sports feat, and some clubs like legal research cell.
