Symbiosis Law School, Pune is one of the best places for your overall personality development. I chose BBA (Bachelors of Business administration) LL.B simply because I come from a commerce background. I always had an inclination towards business and BBA LL.B offered me the courses related to it. The eligibility criteria at the university are also comparatively low in terms of marks as compared to B.A. LL.B. Since, mine is a new domain, it provides a larger scope in terms of career opportunities. You just need to clear the entire process of SLAT (entrance exam), WAT (written assessment) and clear the interview (by being yourself) and they will pick up to your potential. Furthermore, they have varied options in BBA such as (Advertisement, Finance, HR) which in the later semester upgrades into Marketing, Portfolio Management and Emotional Intelligence. The interesting part of this is you get to select your own electives.

The fees of Symbiosis Law School, is slightly higher as compared to the Government Colleges. The approximate annual fee was 4 Lakh and it increases around 5% every year. The admission fee is Rs. 3,000. There are no discounts in the admission process. But, the university does send you emails for the application of scholarship. And the batch topper gets a scholarship upto 1 Lakh.

The faculty in SLS, Pune is very helpful and cooperative. The professors have a background of teaching at well known institutes themselves. The professors in SLS are graduates from NLSIU, NLU Jodhpur and so on. These professors are extremely knowledgeable, which furthermore reflects in their teaching strategies. The professors use PPTs to explain the flow of the lectures, practical examples and put emphasis on conceptual clarity. These methods suggested by the professors help the students while revising and understanding concepts for their external examinations.

SLS, Pune has their very own active and progressive cell for placement named as the CPD cell, which focus on providing internship opportunities for the students in the university and is also responsible for handling the placement procedure for the 5th year graduates. Till the 5th year, the CPD cell circulates e-mail notifications to the students for their internship application. The cell also provides you with a CV format which is a great initiative since, your CV reflects a part of your personality and if provided a structured CV, it helps in maximizing your chances into acquiring an internship in your journey as a law student. Furthermore, the university has various renowned firms approaching for placements such as Khatian Co., SAM, CAM, Trilegal as well as a lot of banks such as ICICI bank. The companies such as Deloitte have also approached the university for placements.

The college provides residential facilities. In the first year, female students are given hostel within the campus. There are hostels available outside the campus in the case of accommodating numerous students. These hostels are also available for male students separately. The annual fee of the hostel goes up to 3 Lakh, which includes a four-course meal every day. The mess is well maintained and hygienic. The mess timings are strict but are very viable. The hostel has great security and has a strict curfew till 10 PM and is to be followed for safety reasons. I had a great experience while living in the hostel since, I made life-long friendship and memories through it.

The campus of SLS, Pune accommodates various activities. The campus building has very clean classrooms with AV's as well as enough seating space. The campus is located in Viman Nagar, Pune, which is situated right besides the airport road. The campus building also contains a Moot Court Hall, where mooting activities are conducted. It also contains a Gym, a Dance Room with huge mirrors, indoor and outdoor activities such as Carom, Table Tennis, Futsal, Basketball and Lawn Tennis ground for the students to sharpen their skills.

The overall campus life here is fun and interesting since you get to communicate with like-minded people. Personally, my friends and seniors have helped me through my survival here. Since, the college provides with a SYMPAL initiative, which is basically connecting you with a senior for your future doubts, it helped me get a lot of guidance. The university has various cells, which are active throughout the year, such as Academic Cell, Dance Club, Alumni Cell, Music Cell, etc. I was the part of the Dance Club since I am a professional dancer. The club helped me meet people which are as passionate for dancing as me which made me feel home in the university. The university hosts various events such as Onam Celebration, Independence Day Celebration, Ganesh Chaturthi etc. The university hosts an annual fest just for the first year students named as SYMPHORIA, which has a lot of warm up activities for the students to interact with each other. The biggest cultural fest is SYMBHAV where talented performances from the students are there. The students get the chance to host, delegate as well as manage such events. It is nothing but a bonding and learning experience for the students at the university. The cells also collaborate with each other and host awareness events through the year.
