My Candid Views on Symbiosis Law School Pune

Overall Rating
The first thing that Symbiosis Law School does is a fresher’s party and then orientations immediately after we join the University. So, I was wondering when the classes will start then I will have a polite enquiry about the same with my seniors. They politely answered if this exercise was not in place, you would have never felt comfortable and these are organised to make the students comfortable. Now after finishing my 1st year when I look back to those 10 days where we hardly had classes but activities will probably be the best experience that I will have at this University.
 

Academics Rating
B.A LLB which was supposed to be of 360 students all of a sudden increased to a batch size of 500 in 2024. It is challenging for any University to manage such a batch size but not this University. I ignored other Universities for this because it is the best University in Pune. The University is in place for decades now and the top ranking that it has achieved on all forums is because of its maintained academics which is better than most of the Universities.
In the first and second semester the fees was Rs. 2,26,000/- per semester but in third semester it has increased to Rs. 2,33,300/- The fees as we told increase every year in the range of 2-10%.
 

Faculty Rating
The University has the best faculty as all of them are well-experienced and qualified. Moreover, they are always supportive towards the students.
 

Placement Rating
This is the only University that has reserved seats for interns in top law firms. Where other students try their luck to the moon to get internships there, we get direct entry in those law firms as interns. Likewise when it comes to placements too, we get direct corporate and law firms recruiters analyzing our CA and our knowledge and skills.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel fees was Rs. 2, 680, 00/- last year has now increased to Rs. 2, 900, 00/- this year. This makeshift was expensive and therefore even though the hostels are amazing as they are off-campus but are one of the best hostels of entire Symbiosis group. They have modern and luxurious hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
A small campus but with a building which is incomparable. Cafeteria at the ground floor and then moot court hall at the second floor and library on the third. Our location too is great as Viman Nagar gives you access to most part of the city with metro, buses and cabs and autos are always lines up outside our campus. The classrooms are huge as 75 students are there in each class and even the backbenchers can see the smart board easily is how the seating arrangement has been done. Just one recreation room and no other sports facility is indeed one of the drawbacks.
 

Campus Rating
The sympal program of the University is something which everyone should know about. In this program, we get the right to choose one of the seniors as our mentors who guide us for internships and the electives that we should choose. So, this makes campus even more interesting as when you have seniors guiding you, you always are left curious. Now coming to the fests there are two fests Symbhav is the annual fest of the University while first year students have their own fests Symphoria. So, through Sympal we get the opportunity to connect with seniors and through Symphoria it brings the whole batch together.

    Symbiosis Law School Pune is a college, which was established in 1977, so it has a huge alumni base. The college is closely connected to the city, making the location very advantageous.     Overall, SLS is a good Private Law College and one should consider it, if he/she was not able to get in top 5 NLUs. It provides every opportunity to the students to show case his/her talent.     Symbiosis Law School is ranked NIRF 5 as per 2024 rankings. Coursework is well structured to give a theoretical understanding with applied skills. It includes moot courts, MUNs, internships, debates, etc. SLSP has a good reputation for placement opportunities. On the whole, the college is at best location with great exposure....
