MRU Faridabad Offers Many Scholarships & Fee Concessions to Students

During my time in Manav Rachna University Faridabad, I found plenty of opportunities to work on real life projects, and one thing to know for sure is the coding clubs and RCC groups here are incredible. I took admission in this University because I heard a lot about this University from my seniors in School and the hype at that time was real.

I chose B.Tech Computer Science as I was always interested in tech. The scholarship that I got in MRU Faridabad made me grab the chance to be a student there. One can get into University with decent marks in Class 12th, and also through JEE score. The University conducts MRNAT Exam for providing scholarships to students which comprises of current affairs, logical reasoning, and English. Like any other College, there is a pattern which you have to follow. Syllabus has basic CS subjects and faculties provide you with updated knowledge of industry in every subject that you are studying.

So in 2021, the total fee was Rs. 8,00,000/- for complete course. The fee used to get paid in 2 installments per year, Rs. 1,14,000/- and then Rs. 90,000/-. But it has changed overtime and now its a bit higher than before and it also depends on the course that you are enrolling in. So I paid no registration fees, and directly paid my first installment before the University started. Fee concessions are there for children who clear MRNAT and have a specific percentage in Class 12th, mostly above 90%. There are scholarships for specific children with family lower income then 3 LPA. You can also go for Government schemes which MRU accepts (after a procedure).

Faculty members are mostly Ph.D holders with amazing experiences. The courses were taught in a pattern which is evaluated by children with a feedback form. Every faculty member is really helpful. Teacher to student ratio is decent. Talking about my experience with faculty members, it has been good and they really had a kind heart to guide me through my journey. Some were really easy to talk to while others were not.

Yes, the University does have a placement cell that helps students with job opportunities, though it's beneficial for some. They help in up-scaling the soft skills of students, they also conduct resume checks, mocks, aptitude, and communication classes which can help individuals for better interviews, but it can be very limited if you are looking for core technical help. HCL, LTIMindtree, BT, etc. visit campus every year for recruitment purposes. Average package is between 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA, highest packages are different every year. This year it was near 15 LPA to 17 LPA. My placement experience was average as I got placed but didn’t get much out it which was aligning with my career or skills.

Yes, the University provides hostel and mess facility. Hostels are separate and far apart for boys and girls. The mess food is decent and hygienic. Fee is different for AC and Non-AC accommodations.

University has different blocks for each department. Campus size is decent looking and sized as it comprises of 3 Universities in connected area. Classrooms are pretty big and comfortable with working ACs, Fans, Lights, projectors and also podiums for a professional environment. Libraries are available for different branches. Canteen food is decent but a bit on higher side for outlets but mess food is affordable. Transport facility is good but can be hectic in off timings and a bit expensive. My favourite place has to be the classrooms.

University crowd is filled with people of different regions but personally did not find the crowd to be professional. There are different clubs one can join according to their interests. Fests and events are organized by your seniors and faculties which can be lovely. My experience was good but nothing extraordinary.
