SGGSCC New Delhi: The Hub of Learning

Overall Rating
My experience at SGGSCC New Delhi is quite good. The faculty is very helpful. In my opinion, the infrastructure is indeed one of the best of all the Delhi University associated Colleges. Various College societies and clubs help students to explore their interests and chose the one which entices them the most. The factors which led me to choose this College were the faculty, its proximity to my place, and infrastructure. Few of my cousins and family members have also studied from this College which provides a sense of belonging to me.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently doing B.A (Hons.) in Economics. The eligibility criterion is to give CUET UG exam. If you want to pursue my course then, it is compulsory for you to study Maths in class 12th and also it is mandatory to give Maths exam as one of the chosen subjects in CUET. There are 2 semesters in each year. Both the semesters consists of papers: mid-sem and end-sem exams. The end-sem are of 90 marks for core papers and while the mid-sem comprise of internal assessment.
Since it is a government College, its fee is very affordable. The fee that I paid during the admission was around Rs. 35,000/- but can slightly differ from course to course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of my course are really helpful. Most of the professors have done Ph.D. Usually teachers use chalkboard or whiteboards to teach along with PPTs. Apart from this all the study material is circulated among the students through WhatsApp groups and Google Classroom. The teachers are quite approachable and helpful. The teachers try their best to explain the concepts and complete the syllabus in time even if it comes at the cost of taking extra online classes.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell of our College is called Training and Placement Cell (TPC). It organises various workshops and seminars so that the students can be prepared for interviews. Groups have also been created to circulate internships for all the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of SGGSCC New Delhi is great. There are proper sitting arrangements in each class. Every floor is air conditioned with centralized air conditioners. My favorite place at our College is the Gurudwara Sahib which is so beautiful and maintained by the students of Divinity Club- Vismaad. According to me, our College has one of the best libraries across all Colleges of Delhi University. The auditorium of our College is also quite big which accommodates a large amount of audience.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is amazing. Though the area that our College is spread over is not huge but it’s beautiful. The College crowd comprises of general and Sikh minority students mostly. There are various extracurricular activities that happen throughout the year, and these are organised by various societies. The experience of College fest organised by the student union was also amazing. This year our College celebrated Diwali Mela and Lohri Mela along with a great freshers and farewell party which was very fun.

    Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce has always been my dream College. My experience is really great. The College crowd is really helpful. College provides both personal and professional development opportunities. There is nothing that comes without challenges but these challenges helped me grow as an individual and also provided me some real-life problem solving skills.     SGGSCC New Delhi was my one of my priority when I was looking for admissions and I was very happy when I made it. The College is very beautiful and nice with good infrastructure. It’s quite a competitive College with good societies and professors. In my opinion, it’s one of the best Colleges of Delhi University and in India for Commerce.     I started my college journey in August 2024, after a CUET score of 490/650. I got into my dream course from this college. The college is really one of the best in the Delhi University. The courses offered by the college are unique. The infrastructure is best with canteen, a very prestigious Gurudwara in the college lawn, and a huge Auditorium.     SGGSCC New Delhi is affiliated to Delhi University. The infrastructure here is very good as compared to the other colleges. Teachers are also very helpful. The library is really good, as it provides you with good books, that you need for every semester. Course options are limited here because it is a Commerce College, but the staff is very good and I would choose this college over any college.
