Delightful Experience at SGGSCC New Delhi

Overall Rating
SGGSCC New Delhi has been a great experience for my first year. I chose this College as it is one of the top off campus College of Delhi University. The infrastructure is the best I believe, the crowd is diverse and there’s a vibrant culture with lots of events happening throughout the year. There are numerous societies which you can join according to your interest. Overall, I would say I had a beautiful experience.
 

Academics Rating
I’m enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) course and I chose this since it aligns with my interest in the Commerce field. It is believed to be one of the best courses of this College. The exams are held twice in six months. A mid sem then final exams at end sem.
The fee for my course is around Rs. 35,000/-. It’s a bit higher than other DU Colleges because it’s partly managed by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty for Commerce department is very exceptional. The professors are well qualified and experienced. While the lectures can be textbook oriented but the teachers are always up for doubts and any problems you have. But you must attend the classes regularly as the teachers are strict in regards to attendance. It’s a mix of old and young teaching staff.
 

Placement Rating
I’ve currently finished first year so I do not have much information about placement from personal experience but the placement cell of our College is very professional and dedicated. It’s very active and student friendly as well.
 

Hostel Rating
There’s a girls hostel named 'Mata Sundari girls hostel' inside the College which I believe is very helpful for the outstation girl students. It ensures their safety as well. An opinion of hostellers that I am aware of is that the food quality can be improved.
 

Infrastructure Rating
In my view, this SGGSCC New Delhi particularly stands out because of its beautiful infrastructure. It has a larger campus compared to north campus Colleges. There is a Gurudwara Sahib in the lawn which gives peaceful vibes. CCD is favorite hangout spot for students. There are different blocks for different departments. The students are provided with air conditions classrooms. Moreover there is a gym, canteen, library, etc. and it is needless to say that the infrastructure is top-notch.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life here is pretty vibrant. Events keep happening throughout the year. The crowd is diverse with a mix of both national and international students. Life on campus is lively and you can hang out at various spots. There are many societies, be it cultural, professional, academic which are very active and one can join according to their interest. The societies are also very engaging and you can find friends with alike interests.

    Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce has always been my dream College. My experience is really great. The College crowd is really helpful. College provides both personal and professional development opportunities. There is nothing that comes without challenges but these challenges helped me grow as an individual and also provided me some real-life problem solving skills.     SGGSCC New Delhi was my one of my priority when I was looking for admissions and I was very happy when I made it. The College is very beautiful and nice with good infrastructure. It’s quite a competitive College with good societies and professors. In my opinion, it’s one of the best Colleges of Delhi University and in India for Commerce.     I started my college journey in August 2024, after a CUET score of 490/650. I got into my dream course from this college. The college is really one of the best in the Delhi University. The courses offered by the college are unique. The infrastructure is best with canteen, a very prestigious Gurudwara in the college lawn, and a huge Auditorium.     SGGSCC New Delhi is affiliated to Delhi University. The infrastructure here is very good as compared to the other colleges. Teachers are also very helpful. The library is really good, as it provides you with good books, that you need for every semester. Course options are limited here because it is a Commerce College, but the staff is very good and I would choose this college over any college.
