What Every Student Should Know About IIT Tirupati

Overall Rating
Currently I'm in my final year. I think this Institute is the fastest growing Institute among all the third generation IITs. You are free to go anywhere at any time because there are no strict timings of the hostel. The overall academics and infrastructure of this Institute is also good as compared to other Institutions.
 

Academics Rating
I have in the course I have chosen. The eligibility criteria to take admission in this Institute are to qualify JEE (Advanced) with good score. After that you have to sit for JOSAA counseling. The IIT Tirupati conducts Test 1, Test 2, and end semester examination. From 2nd year onwards, we've department electives so we can choose any subject we want. The academics of this Institute are so well that can do anything after the graduation.
The fee of B.Tech is around Rs. 1,60,000/- per semester which also include mess charges. The students of SC/ST only need to pay the mess charges which is around Rs. 40,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are highly qualified and solve any kind of problems. The teaching methods include projectors, GD, etc. The teacher to student ratio is around 1:10. We've very good bonding with faculty and we also play cricket matches together. We've good faculty in our department.
 

Placement Rating
We have placement cell in IIT Tirupati. We've Career Development Centre (CDC) which help student to get internships and jobs. The cell also conducts talks and lectures. Companies like PW, Allen, JSW, Galla Foods, and Future First, etc. visit our Institute. The highest package is around 60 LPA and average is around 10 LPA. The placement experience is decent.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, they provide hostel facilities to the students. There are separate hostels for girls and the boys. The mess food is decent. I've a really good experience in the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The last three years I felt like I am living in a hill station because the Institute is situated in the hills. The infrastructure of the IIT Tirupati is good and the campus size is huge. The classrooms are average and have the capacity to accommodate 120 students. The campus has library, labs, etc. The sports, transport, and medical facilities are also available in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good. There is not much crowd in the Institute. There are so many clubs like Oratory club, Arroyo club, Fitness club, Arena club, Act Mania club, etc. I am part of the Fitness club. The Institute conducts fests like Tirutsava which is organised in March. The campus life is good because now we also we have some restaurant outside the campus.

    Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati is the newest autonomous institute in the series of India’s pioneer technical institutes, IITs. If I’ve to deliver the briefest review of this college, then for tech branches like- CSE, IT, and ECE it’s like heaven, but, please try to go for any other institute for the core branches.
