IIT Tirupati Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

In terms of infrastructure, we have a few academic buildings and a lecture hall complex for all classes, along with a library that houses books ranging from academics to various domains of knowledge. The campus spans around 530 acres and, as mentioned earlier, is located near Yerpedu, approximately 30 KM from Tirupati. All classrooms are air-conditioned. The buildings are designed to accommodate the needs of physically disabled students. In addition to these facilities, we have canteens apart from the mess and shops for general necessities where you can find all the essential items. The sports facilities are excellent, with grounds and courts available for various games. Coaches are also assigned to different sports to ensure proper training. Gyms are also available for fitness enthusiasts. The healthcare system on campus is commendable, with a pharmacy and institute doctors available to address any health concerns. For transportation within the campus, you can use bicycles or walk. Security guards are stationed at various locations to ensure the safety of the campus. My favorite places on the campus include the view from my hostel, where the mountains look perfect, especially during the rainy season. The roundabout circle is also a good place.

My campus life is great. The institute is not very crowded, but we currently have a capacity of around 1,600 students. There are many clubs in the institute, covering various domains such as Coding, Automobile, Astronomy, Technology, and for Cultural activities like Dance, Music, Arts, etc. We also have entrepreneurship clubs, and for students' well-being, there is a Guidance and Career Counseling Club. I am part of a few clubs, including some in the tech domain. Every month or during festivals, we have extracurricular activities organized either by clubs or by the institute, such as competitions, sessions, etc. For fests or events, we have an annual fest called ‘Tirutsava’. In addition, we have tech events called ‘Tachyon’, intra-sports events related to sports, intra-cultural events related to cultural activities, and many more events organized by various clubs. The last three years I felt like I am living in a hill station because the Institute is situated in the hills. The infrastructure of the IIT Tirupati is good and the campus size is huge. The classrooms are average and have the capacity to accommodate 120 students. The campus has library, labs, etc. The sports, transport, and medical facilities are also available in the campus.

Campus life is good. There is not much crowd in the Institute. There are so many clubs like Oratory club, Arroyo club, Fitness club, Arena club, Act Mania club, etc. I am part of the Fitness club. The Institute conducts fests like Tirutsava which is organised in March. The campus life is good because now we also we have some restaurant outside the campus.Read Full Review

Currently, IIT Tirupati is functioning in two transit campuses at Tirupati- Renigunta road and Yerpedu. Construction work in the 530 acre-large permanent campus is still going on. Recreation halls, gym, indoor games courts, laundry services, and SBI ATM, everything is here. There are a total of 35 classrooms with different capacities but all are well air-conditioned and have an audio-visual facility. Moreover, there is a central library, computer programming lab, civil, mechanical, and electrical workshops too. A playground is also here for outdoor sports like- Football. A health center with an ambulance is available for 24x7 medical supports.

Overall campus life here is okay. Several clubs like- robotics club, literature, and debate club, several technical associations are there in IIT Tirupati. Anyways, up to the first or second year, there is sufficient time to think about college life but after that the only thing that remains is self-development.Read Full Review
