IIT Tirupati Faculty Profile

In Electrical Engineering branch, the faculty members are excellent. For every domain, each faculty member has great knowledge. Based on your interests, you can even work under them on projects. This enhances the knowledge of students and creates many opportunities for them. The method of teaching depends on the professor; some prefer chalkboards, while others use projectors with a pen/ink system. Each course includes tutorials, which are helpful for problem solving. As this is a 3rd Generation IIT, the teacher to student ratio is great. In our branch, we have student strength of 65, whereas in the top IITs, the intake is much higher. The faculty members are highly qualified and solve any kind of problems. The teaching methods include projectors, GD, etc. The teacher to student ratio is around 1:10. We've very good bonding with faculty and we also play cricket matches together. We've good faculty in our department.Read Full Review

In our course, a total of 9 faculties are assigned to us, whereas the overall number of faculties is around 75. Most of them are Ph.D. holders from top-notch universities and have a great grasp of their subjects. All the faculties have previous teaching experience of at least 5-10 years in various engineering colleges. Surely they teach us well but their teaching approach is slightly research-oriented rather than including some job-oriented approaches.Read Full Review
