What Every Student Should Know About IIT Hyderabad

Overall Rating
It’s a dream of every student to take admission in an IIT. I am very lucky that I got admission in this Institute. The atmosphere here is very good and the campus has a great balance between nature and the development. I prepared for years to take admission in this Institute. I chose this, because of its infrastructure and it is among one of the fastest growing Institutes.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Civil Engineering branch as I have a lot of interest in this particular branch. For admission, the student need to qualify the toughest exam which is JEE Advanced. After that, the students need to bring the documents for verification. The frequency of exams is very less as compared to other branches. The academics provide the basic knowledge about the topics and prepare the students for real life challenges. The Institute offers very light academic schedule which helps in reducing the academic pressure.
The fee of my course in IIT Hyderabad is divided in two semesters. It is approx Rs. 67,000/- per semester. The special discounts are also provided to the students of SC/ST and PWD categories.
 

Faculty Rating
There are 29 faculty members in my department. All faculty members are well qualified from reputed Institutes. The methods of teaching include PPTS, etc. They also give many projects and assignments that provide a balance between theoretical thinking and practical thinking. The teacher to student ratio is 1:13. The problem solving abilities is very good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the Institute has placement cell. The placements records are improving in recent years.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread over 576 acres. It is located at kandi. The campus has many academic blocks for different branches. Each building has unique design and structure. The classrooms are very big with huge seating capacity. The campus has library, labs, seminar halls, auditorium, conference hall, canteen, hospital, etc. The Institute also has sports facilities. My favorite place here is the sports complex which has both indoor sports facilities and outdoor sports facilities.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life at IIT Hyderabad is very good. I am enjoying every aspect here. The crowd is less as compared to other Institutes. There are many cultural clubs; each club has different concept and learning. Right now, I am not a part of any club because I will join one in future. It organise various activities on daily basis. The Institute also conducts a largest cultural fest every year called Elan, sport event, and many more. I have enjoyed and explored the campus life with my friends.

    I am enjoying a lot in IIT Hyderabad. The hostel and food facilities are also good compared to my worst facilities in my intermediate. The courses offered by the academic are reasonable.
