UIET Kanpur, if I talk about myself, the major reason for joining this Institute was that, I had to go for computer science, and I wasn't getting it anywhere else. Though at start I was quite worried, that how this Institute might be, but after joining it, I realised that, it's a very decent college.

Here, in year 2022, when I took admission, it has 6 branches, CSE, CSE AI, IT, ECE, CE, and ME. In first year, we have two semesters, in which, every branch is taught the very same thing. Teachers here are very specific with study pattern. Every branch is taught 10 subjects in first year, which are physics 1, physics 2, maths 1, maths 2, computer, mechanics, engineering drawing, electronics, English, and chemistry. All the subjects are divided into half in every branch for first and second semesters.

Faculty at UIET Kanpur are quite study oriented. Here, faculty will focus on teaching you every required thing. They are quite good in doing their jobs. They will teach you everything, they will explain you everything, and here, the teachers teach you with GATE oriented way of study. There are IIT passed PhD teachers, NIT passed PhD teachers, and many more teachers who have been qualified from known universities.

Yes, we have a placement cell. Though, placement cell here is not very active. In other words, here people often go for off campus jobs, on campus are also quite less in amount, both in money and number. Though they exist, but number of companies is quite less here. Especially for core branches.

Hostel is really good. Here we have good infrastructure of hostel, we have all the requirements like geyser, wi-fi, playground, parking lot etc. Hostel has very well natured caretakers and great warden. We have entry till late night 10:00 p.m.

Here you will get all the buildings of other branches. Every building is well established, and is fully equipped with required things. We have an AB building which is meant for the teaching of 2nd year students, and, lecture Hall complex which is meant for 1st year students. Later on we are shifted to our separate departments. We also have a well established library for all.

UIET Kanpur Campus life is okay. Here you won't get fests. Yes clubs do exist, like literary clubs, coding clubs, etc, but they don't focus much on events, and are not very active. Though they do operate. Events are a Haley's comet for UIET, till now. We have to do everything on our own for everything. Crowd is quite much here, many students join this Institute, and yes, you all can chill with your friends since we have big grounds, and nice sitting places here.
