My Opinion on Assam University Silchar: Good campus life

Overall Rating
Overall, my two year journey at this University has been quite good. This campus is actually surrounded by trees which create a very peaceful environment. We can talk a walk in campus with our friends. Besides this, it conducts various fests, events, and concerts for the students. You will enjoy in this University.
 

Academics Rating
For admission in Assam University, the students have to qualify the University entrance test. The exams are conducts in every six months. One thing that I like about the academics is that the syllabus is as per the industry trends. Some faculties are very friendly here. The syllabus is based on NET examination, so the academics also prepare us for that.
The fee of my course is Rs. 10,000/- per year. The University provides financial aid to the students who are from economically week background.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of my department are very friendly and some of the teachers are approachable. They regularly motivated us to clear the NET exam during our Masters. So that we can pursue a future as an assistant professor. The teachers clear all the doubts of the students. I have a great bond with the faculty.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell at the University has connections within the industry to offer appealing salary packages to the students. Additionally, the highest package ranges from 10 LPA to 15 LPA.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of Assam University is good. I like the central library of this University and it remained open from 8 AM to 8 PM. The library is so peaceful. The campus has gym, sports facilities, etc. The campus has indoor games facilities as well for the students.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life till now is good. Every year, the University organise an annual Sports day for the teachers and non teaching staff. It organises various tournaments such as Badminton tournaments, Football tournaments, etc. Along with these, there are various competitions like online photography contests, poetry competitions, essay competitions, and more which happens on regular basis. I have created so many good memories in this University. It celebrates various festivals such as Manipur festival, Assamese festival, and many more.

    Overall my experience was satisfactory. I chose to pursue Masters' in Chemistry as it has wide opportunities in future. TOther students residing in Barak valley shall opt for this Institute as it is the only Institute there offering higher studies.
