Delhi Technological University (DTU) New Delhi is one of the best Engineering and Management Institutes in India in my opinion. My overall experience at the University has been really positive. The campus has a vibrant atmosphere, with a great mix of academics, fests and student-driven activities. In my opinion, what truly sets this University apart is its strong student culture. Here, you're encouraged to explore beyond books, join societies, build startups, and work on real world projects. It's a place that shapes not just Engineers but confident individuals. I had a very good academic experience.

The course I choose was MBA in business analytics mainly because I wanted to build strong analytical and managerial skills and prepare myself for a career when where I can combine data driven decision making with business strategies. My motive for enrolling was not just to get a degree but to learn practical skills that would actually help me in the corporate world. The eligibility criteria for this course were quite clear since it requires a graduation degree with at least 60% marks. In addition, candidate must appear for one of the entrance exams like CAT, MAT or CMAT depending on the admission cycle. Once you qualify the exam, there is a group discussion and personal interview round which test communication skills, confidence and logical thinking. Shortlisted candidates were invited for GD before the final list was made on the basis of overall performance. One of the best parts about academics here is that they are connected to real life challenges. Group projects are also given for hands-on experience.

In the first year, the fee is slightly higher because it includes the one-time admission and registration charges which are not to be paid from second year onwards. Second year students only pay the tuition fee and semester wise charges. The fee is almost same throughout the tenure of the program. There are also fee relaxation policies for students from reserved categories like SC / ST / OBC apart from that are scholarship provided on a merit and need-basis. The tuition fee is around Rs. 1,47,000/- per year for my course.

The faculty members at the University are highly knowledgeable in their respective fields. My experience with them has been positive, as they are supportive, approachable and always opens to doubts, discussions, and guidance beyond classroom teaching. The teacher student ratio is quite balanced, allowing good interaction and personalized attention when needed. I found the bonding with faculty to be a source of motivation. They often bring in case-studies and industry-based examples.

DTU New Delhi has a very active placement cell that connects students with top recruiters throughout the year. The cell organises workshops, mock interviews, and training sessions to prepare students for industry requirements. Companies from diverse sector like Consulting, Analytics, Finance, and Technology visit the campus. The average package generally falls around 8 LPA to 10 LPA, while the highest can go above 40 LPA depending on the recruiter and the skills of the students. My placement experience was great since the placement cell guided us at every stage from resume building to final interviews, making the overall process much more approachable and stress-free.

I am not staying at the hostels, but as per the review of my friends, the University offers good hostel facilities with separate hostel for boys and girls. The hostel has a large number of rooms, usually shared by two or three students. The rooms have basic facilities like Wi-Fi, laundry, reading space, and common rooms are provided. The mess food is decent too. Various recreational activities like sports and cultural events are regularly organised. The hostels rules include fixed entry timings and discipline is to be maintained. The hostel fees are reasonable too making it affordable for most of the students.

The University has a beautiful and spacious campus spread over a large green area providing a peaceful environment for studies. The academic blocks are well structured with modern classrooms, fully-equipped labs, and seminar halls for interactive sessions. The central library is vast with a huge collection of books, journals, and digital resources. There is also a large auditorium and conference hall used for events and cultural programs. The campus is well connected with Delhi, making it easily accessible. Overall, the infrastructure is modern and student-friendly supporting both academic and extracurricular activities effectively for holistic learning and development of students.

My campus life at the University is vibrant and full of opportunities. The college crowd is energetic, talented, and supportive which creates a lively environment. There are numerous clubs and societies for Cultural, Technical and Sport activities giving students a chance to explore their interests. I participated in ‘Engifest’ which is one of the biggest cultural festivals in Delhi and it was an unforgettable experience with music, events and competitions. Such activities make the campus life even more exciting. Also, in the academic aspects, various workshops and guest lectures are conducted which help understand how classroom based knowledge can be applied in real-business scenarios.
