JNTU Kakinada has a campus area of 100+ acres

Getting into this University was one of the most unexpected things that happened to me, and it has shaped me in so many ways. I had great experience like meeting great and friendly seniors, the faculty who is always willing to help, the excellent alumni network who're always ready to guide you through it and so much more. I would say that JNTU Kakinada is a place for people who aim for big things in life. The University will definitely provide a strong foundation to it.

My EAPCET rank was good, so I ended up here. I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering here. There are two mid-semesters, and then one semester exam at the end of it. For labs, there are internals and externals, followed by a viva, and occasionally there are presentations, so that students can have a better grip on the concepts. Any student, who wants to get in here, has to have a good rank in the EAPCET exam. The academics here are challenging, because it has people from all around the state, who're all top rankers. I would say that the atmosphere is always pushing you to get better than everyone else.

The fees structure is one of the best things about the University, because even with so many amenities, it is still very affordable. It is around Rs. 10,000/- for an entire year. The students who're good at academics and maintain a good CGPA, are further eligible for scholarships. There are some scholarships available for students of J&K. Girl students and those having sports quota are also eligible for scholarships.

Talking specifically about my department, the faculty members are very friendly, and are always ready to help you. There are projectors in every classroom. Also, the faculty members encourage students to attend the seminars held at the University. The faculty prefers to use blackboards to promote an in-depth understanding of the concepts. They're all Ph.D graduates, with years of teaching experience. They bring a lot of industry and teaching experience, and help you to understand concepts in the easiest possible way.

The entire University is green, and spread over an area of more than 100 acres, with good conference halls and auditoriums. The library is huge, with wide collection of books on varied concepts. There are also books from the 1900s and there are also some original editions. Undoubtedly, the vibe that the library has is my favorite part about the entire University. The stadium is huge and there is also an indoor stadium. There are facilities for various sports. There is a separate research corner in the library, for anyone who has an interest in those aspects. There is also a huge Innovation Centre which focuses on helping students with their projects.

My campus life is good. The crowd of JNTU Kakinada is highly competitive, with everyone having varied aims. They're hard working and focused. The clubs are newly budding, with students interested in many of these. The technical fest has various workshops, catering different skills, stalls, flash mobs and cultural activities. The campus light up during the fest and it is the best time of the year for the students.
