Balanced Blend of Academics and Opportunities at VIT Vellore

Overall Rating
My overall journey at VIT Vellore has been a mix of learning, growth and exposure. What initially attracted me to this Institute was its reputation for balanced academics and extracurricular activities. This Institute emphasizes not only on classroom teaching but also practical exposure which I feel is very important. The supportive environment and student-centric approach make it stand out. If someone is looking for an Institute that provides quality education along with opportunities to explore beyond academics, I would definitely recommend this Institute.
 

Academics Rating
I choose CSE because I was genuinely interested in the subject and wanted to pursue a career in this field. The admission process was fair and straightforward with eligibility based on VITEEE exam. Examinations are conducted regularly usually twice a semester ensuring students stay consistent with their studies. What I really appreciate is that the academic structure is designed in a way that prepares us for both higher studies and industry-level challenges.
The fee structure is quite transparent. My course fee was charged yearly. Based on VITEE entrance exam rank, you will fall into any one category. There are five categories overall. The fee for category 1 students is around Rs. 2,00,000/-, for category 2 students the fees is approximately Rs. 3,00,000/-, the fees for category 3 students is close to Rs. 4,00,000/-, the fees for category 4 students is about Rs. 4,50,000/-, and the fees for category 5 students is nearly Rs. 5,00,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are one of the biggest strengths of this Institute. Most of them hold advanced degrees and bring in industry experience which makes their teaching very relevant. The teaching methods vary from traditional blackboard learning to interactive PPT sessions and group discussions .The best part is their approachability. I never felt hesitant to ask doubts even outside the classroom hours. Their problem-solving attitude and mentorship has really helped me grow academically and personally.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell at the Institute is quite active and supportive They organise pre-training sessions, mock interviews and resume building sessions to prepare students. Several reputed companies visit campus for recruitment. The average package offered is 12 LPA to 14 LPA with the highest package being 1.2 Crore Per Annum.
 

Hostel Rating
The Institute hostels are equipped with basic facilities like Wi-Fi, study rooms, etc. The rooms are shared with rooms available in multiple occupancies including 1, 2, 4, and 6 seater rooms. Hostel premises are cleaned every day and they follow good hygiene standards for all hostel buildings. My experience has been decent overall. The hostels are comfortable enough for student life.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread over a spacious area with separate academic blocks, labs and auditoriums. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and have enough seating capacity. The library is one of my favorite spots. It is well-structured with reference books, journals and digital resources. Labs are up-to-date and support practical learning. The Institute also has a canteen, sports facilities, a medical center, and good security arrangements. The auditorium and conference halls often host guest lectures and cultural events which makes the academic experience more engaging.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at VIT Vellore is vibrant and memorable the student crowd is diverse and energetic which makes interactions lively. There are multiple clubs related to technical, cultural and social activities. I actively participated in ‘IEEE CS’. The cultural fest ‘Riviera’ is the most awaited event. Apart from this, there are frequent workshops, hackathons, and cultural activities that keep the environment buzzing. Overall, campus life gave me friendships, experiences and memories I will always cherish.

    Overall VIT Vellore is a great choice, as it met my expectations with its cool infrastructure and better education facilities. There is great exposure of academics and nightlife here. You will be given FFCS (fully flexible credential system) where you can choose your timetable and select faculties.
