Build Future in VIT Vellore: Good Education & Educators

Overall Rating
Overall VIT Vellore is a great choice, as it met my expectations with its cool infrastructure and better education facilities. There is great exposure of academics and nightlife here. You will be given FFCS (fully flexible credential system) where you can choose your timetable and select faculties. The institute has 2 phases; morning phase (where classes are held in morning and labs availability in evening), and evening phase (evening classes and morning labs), student can chose according to their availability. Labs are absolute graded and theory will be relative graded.
 

Academics Rating
The academics here are very good student is properly motivated to study. There is great faculty here and every student should maintain 75 % attendance where student having more than 9 CGP will be exempted. This will motivate them to study. 2 mid semester exams are conducted (CAT-1, CAT-2) and one final assessment will be conducted which will help the student to prepare for every day challenges. The institute provides 12 credits for internship and project.
The fees structure is divided into 5 categories. Category -1 (2 lakh), category -2 (3 lakh), category -4 (4.5 lakh), and category-5 (5 lakh); where student will given category based their rank in VITEEE.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty here has completed their PhD from prestigious institutes. They are very friendly too. The faculty student ratio will be around (1:19). Teachers use PPTs to teach and you can access them in VIT student portal later.
 

Placement Rating
I am aware about internship opportunities provided here. Being a VIT student, you will get good opportunities when you work hard.
 

Hostel Rating
This institute provides hostels for boys and girls. However, they are separated with a railway track present in between. You can pass through tunnels and tunnels will close in nighttime. The institute also provides Non-AC, AC, deluxe and apartment type hostels. Fees will charged according to that. There are three different types of messes in the institute; vegetarian mess, non-vegetarian mess, and special mess.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are seven academic blocks in VIT Vellore. There are more than 300 labs of different branches. The institute is around 400 acres large and each class has seating capacity of 70. There are about 7 auditoriums here. There is a Cricket Stadium, 3 paid gyms, and 1 free gym in the campus. There are three indoor Badminton courts and fifteen outdoor Badminton courts. Every game is encouraged here.
 

Campus Rating
Coming here, students can experience a great nightlife inside the campus with a great exposure on technology. Students are well managed by VIT staff and security personals. But only drawback is, the campus is overcrowded; due to this there might be a problem but VIT manages them well. There is 24 hours CCTV surveillance everywhere. The mess is definitely good too.

    VIT, Vellore is a really great institute for anyone who is interested to pursue engineering. It has a wonderful campus of around 375 acres. It has all sorts of amenities that you expect from a premier institute. I chose this institute for its all round brilliance and because of the fact that it is ranked 11th in the NIRF ranking.
