SXC Kolkata Campus Size is Approximately 16.64 Acres

My experience in this College is great. The campus has friendly environment. This College is good in all the aspects such as good faculty, infrastructure, etc. I chose this College because of its great reputation and studying here will give me better experience. The discipline, punctuality, and atmosphere are the things what make this College different from others. It is mandatory to maintain certain attendance in this College.

I chose B.A (Hons.) in Political Science. I chose this particular course as I have an interest in this particular subject and field. To get admission in SXC Kolkata, the students don’t need to give any entrance exam. For admission, you must have passed 10+2 with at least 50%. The admission process is simple and systematic, it involves filling out the application online and submit the necessary documents. There are maximum 2 merit lists which get released every year. One semester is divided into 2 half’s. The mid-semester exams are taken at regular intervals which are followed by the end-semester exams. The exams also include presentation, assignments, class tests, etc. This course has prepared me well for the future.

The application fee is Rs .750/- and the admission fee is of Rs. 34,900/- which also includes 1st installment fee of semester 1. In the second installment of the 1st semester, the students have to pay Rs. 12,600/-.

The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and experienced. The Head of Department along with the others professors have good educational background. The teaching methods include PPTs, group discussion, etc. The teachers solve all the problems of the students without much delay. There are around 60 to 70 students in our course and paper is divided in 2 modules. Each module is taught by a separate professor. The faculty members are quiet friendly and strict at the same time. My personal experience and bonding with almost all the professors is great.

The campus is located at the Mother Teresa Sarani, Kolkata. The campus of SXC Kolkata is huge and it is spread over 16.64 acres of land. One might need a week to explore the whole campus. It has different buildings for different departments. The campus is clean and surrounded with greenery. The campus has huge library which has various kind of books. There are many labs for Science departments. The campus has 2 auditoriums, seminar halls, and a huge chapel. The canteen is also there which is good. My personal favorite place in the College is the girl's common room. We have a beautiful sitting area where we can play games like Carom, etc.

My campus life in this College is great till now. There are different societies such as Hindi Literary society, Fine Arts society, Debate society, etc. I have been a part of almost all the societies and they are fun in general. The College conducts events on regular basis. It conducts a fest named ‘Xavotsav’ which is celebrated in a very exciting way. Famous artists are invited in this fest.
