BIT Sindri: My Views About Infrastructure & Facilities

Overall Rating
BIT Sindri has beautiful sight because of the greenery around the campus. It is one of the best Institutes in Jharkhand which offers multiple branches. It promotes and fosters the culture of Jharkhand which makes it different from other institute. It does have multiple clubs and societies which you can join for your personal and professional growth. Moreover, the Institution is affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) Hazaribagh.
 

Academics Rating
Institute offers multiple branches and mining is one of the best branches. BIT Sindri will also provide real industry level knowledge and they take students to visit mining sites near the Institute. Eligibility criteria for admission is your JEE Main percentile, it will forms a merit list on the basis of this you can apply further. Admission process will take place when you visit the Institute in person. They take semester exams every 6 months and 2 mid semester examination will take place in between the semesters.
The annual fee is Rs. 7732/- for General category. They provide scholarships to students to make it easy for them and they can apply for Government scholarship which includes E-kalyan and Private scholarships from ONGC and Reliance.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties from my branch are good and friendly. They have Master degree and had done their Ph.D. They use smart board, PPTs, and sometimes blackboards for teaching. Teacher and student ratio is around 2:65. Professors are quite supportive. Faculties have cleared their GATE examination so they help us to solve any doubt related to GATE.
 

Placement Rating
There is a Career Development Centre which helps students to clear career related doubt and provide them good placement opportunities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Multiple buildings are there & these are dedicated to different department with their own library. Campus consist one central library which is common for all students. Campus is of 400 acres. Classroom size depends on department as every department has different number of student enrolled. Labs are well equipped. It has one canteen, medical centre, and open air gym. Campus also has a SBI bank.
 

Campus Rating
Institute will provide you with a decent lifestyle. I think around 3000 students are enrolled in campus. There are multiple clubs which include technical and non-technical clubs. It hosts activities like Tech fests and sports events along with inter branch sports events. City is nearly an hour away from campus.

    The very first impression of the Institute “This institute is beyond expectations and a life saver for students who can't go to NIT's". It has a wide spread campus of around 450 acres with a green environment and students accommodate in hostels which increases their social interactions.     BIT Sindri Dhanbad is located in Sindri (urban area) but here experience of this Institute in my eye is good in terms of everything like campus, environment, faculty, seniors and juniors interaction, and hostel Life, etc. For being a student this has been a great journey and experience.
