Lady Irwin College New Delhi Campus Area is Approximately 16.5 Acres

When I first went to Lady Irwin College New Delhi, I found it really beautiful, and filled with greenery. This Institution is really old and it is a nice place for the students to learn and grow. The environment here feels comfortable for us and the campus has everything that we need to focus and learn, and have a good time. The College not only focuses on the theoretical part but also the practical part of the studies.

For getting admission into this College, you need to qualify the Common University Entrance Test with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and a language that is either English or Hindi. Admission is done through the CSAS portal. The academics here not only prepare us for the exams but also for real life challenges and struggles.

The fee structure for B.Sc (Hons.) is Rs. 33,000/- per year. For every semester exam, an examination fee is to be paid which depends on the SEC, VAC and GE we choose. The College also provides scholarship to financially challenged students.

The faculty at Lady Irwin College New Delhi is highly supportive and knowledgeable. They not only provide us with the theoretical knowledge but also facilitate the students with practical experiences to make our future bright. The faculty uses PPTs, blackboard and interactive sessions to make our learning fun as well as interesting. The teachers go beyond their reach to help us all and guide us for our exams as well as our future life.

For placements our College have two societies namely E-Cell and Enactus society. They organise job fairs for the students to secure internships and job offers. The packages offered ranges between 6 LPA to 12 LPA.

The College provides residential facilities for UG, PG and foreign students. A mess is also present here which is clean and well maintained where we can have our meals. One stove, two refrigerators, one water cooler and Wi-FI is also provided to us. The gate closes at 7:00 PM. There is also one ground present where the hostellers are free to enter in the morning. The hostel fee is Rs. 64,000/- for 5 months. We have one common room where the seniors and union organises movie night on Sundays and they also organise various festivals as well. The overall experience was quite good.

Area of Lady Irwin College New Delhi is around 16.5 acres. It has has five departments, each having different blocks, highly functional labs, conference room, an auditorium and proper sitting areas. The classroom has a capacity of about 100 students, and the rooms are well ventilated and facilitate a friendly environment. There is one common library for everyone, and separate library for every department. We can play several games like Basketball, Badminton, Carrom, Chess, and Volleyball. The Campus has a canteen, one medical room, security and various other facilities which makes it student friendly. My favourite thing about the infrastructure is the library where I spend most of my time. The seminars and conferences organised by the Institution provides us with the practical knowledge that we need in today's growing world.

The Campus is really huge and has a really good crowd. There are lots of societies and clubs, where the students can showcase their talents and build self confidence. Apart from studies, we can participate in various societies like drama, singing and many more. The College organises a lot of fest and festivals so that the everyone can enjoy while learning. My experience at this Institution is really beautiful where I met some of the most supporting friends and teachers.
