Exploring a Variety of Clubs at IIIT Allahabad

Overall Rating
My overall experience at IIIT Allahabad is decent as the campus life here is average but the placements are excellent. Mess food is satisfactory and overall the Institute is good. The coding culture here is very good as all the students are coding on various good platforms. There are some hackathons organised along with some events and fest. Overall, the societies are decent here.
 

Academics Rating
I chose IT but other branches are good as well. I would suggest you to get IT-BI instead of ECE if you have the opportunity to do so. The academics here are updated and good for industry. Admission at this Institute require decent marks in JEE Main exam with good ranks. The admission process is the same as all other Government Institutions and they also provide a list of all the documents required.
The semester fee of this Institute is approximately Rs. 1,00,000/-. There are discounts available for SC/ST/PWD categories.
 

Faculty Rating
Some professors are very good at teaching while some are decent. Faculty here are mostly from IT background. Some of them have even studied at this Institute only and they use various methods to teach. Each teacher handles’ a subject of up to 2 sections. The overall experience with them is decent.
 

Placement Rating
Overall, the placements of IIIT Allahabad are excellent.
 

Hostel Rating
The residential facilities of this Institute are decent. The mess fee of the hostel is around Rs. 35,000/-. The food is also decent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of IIIT Allahabad (Prayagraj) is good and the campus size is also decent. The classrooms are spacious with a seating of up to 200 students. Library is a good place for study and many labs are equipped with good computers where you can use them. The transport is good and bus goes to civil lines every day.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average here and the crowd here is decent. The clubs of this Institute include Dance, Music, Drama, Photography, etc and there are 3 coding clubs as well like Google Developer club, etc. Extracurricular activities here include Arts, and Hackathon. There is a main event called 'Effervescence', a technical fest, in which many competitions are organised. All the festivals are also celebrated in this Institution.

    Overall, my experience has been good so far. The academic schedule is very hectic. Every week, quizzes are conducted by professor. Then there are mid sem exams and then at last, there are end sem exams. Students are engaged in the studies for more of the time in the campus.
