IIIT Allahabad: One of Best Choices for B.Tech in the Area

Overall Rating
The IIIT Allahabad is good. People can join this Institute if they are research focused. The campus is big and the facilities provided for the students in classrooms and inside the hostel are perfect. Although the curriculum may feel hectic, staying consistent is the key. It has also recieved 101-150 position in 'Engineering' by NIRF 2025
 

Academics Rating
As I had high interest in Information Technology thinking about the future aspects and scope of this branch, I felt it would be a good choice. There would be at least 1 quiz and a lab test for a course along with mid and end semester exams. The academics shape us in an all round way as it focuses more on practical knowledge.
The per semester fee of IIIT Allahabad is almost Rs. 1,28,000/- (including hostel fee). Other admission fees are covered in the counselling rounds. Student Loans can be taken and there are different fee structures for other categories.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of this Institute are highly experienced and their teaching is very detailed which gives us a high in-depth knowledge. Concepts are either taught in labs or in classrooms through PPTs and blackboards using real life examples. The teachers are easily approachable through emails and we can easily ask them doubts by reaching them in their cabin as well.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell includes students who are chosen by election or by choice of the Training and Placement Officer. Some of the known MNCs visit our Institute. The average package is estimated to be 27 LPA for last year's placements.
 

Hostel Rating
There is a separate accommodation for freshers and there are 4 more hostels present for individuals belonging to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year. Girls and boys quarters are separate. The rooms are average sized with ethernet ports and many sockets and 1 cupboard for a student. The fee for the residential facilities is around Rs. 25,000/-.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has 3 computer centres where one is for B.Tech and the other 2 are for individuals belonging to M.Tech. There are also some faculty cabins present here as well. The seating capacity is good in each classroom where about 140 students can sit and AC facilities are also provided. Labs are well equipped where the models of the computers have been getting better. There are senate halls, auditorium and a library present which has a large number of quality books.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus life is average and the crowd is academic and coding focused. There is a Tesla club which includes Competitive Coding, AI/ML, Block Chain, etc. For extracurricular activities, there is Rangtarangini for acting, Virtuosi for music and Geneticx for dance and many more.

    Overall, my experience has been good so far. The academic schedule is very hectic. Every week, quizzes are conducted by professor. Then there are mid sem exams and then at last, there are end sem exams. Students are engaged in the studies for more of the time in the campus.
