Hello I am a Student of Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata, those who are considering this college should know all the pros and cons and no one would give better clarity than me as I have experienced all that. So to take admission you have to secure decent rank in WBJEE if someone thinks college will provide top-notch opportunities for career building you will get nothing you can get decent package Max up to 15 lakhs. If You are a CSE/ IT/ ECE Student, for others branch to take placement is a tough challenge. Very few core companies come for recruitment and there package is not enough. I would say even a fruit seller earns more in a month. Core students also get placed in it companies which completely depends on student if you want to take it but then your core degree would make no sense. In Kolkata Talking about campus Heritage has one of best campus because other colleges have just a building in name of campus,

Pros of Heritage
Less fees than other private colleges,
Has a huge canteen, playground, beautiful and well maintained campus.
IMO Heritage has one of the best libraries in Kolkata which is underground fully ac and great environment.
Teachers are mostly friendly, Supportive Seniors.

Cons
No culture of competitive exam preparation like GATE, you have to do it on your own but having culture for competitive exam helps.
Feels like School only difference between School and Heritage is colour clothing.
Very Less exposure to other stuffs other than academics and that is it about this college.
If you really want to build career than you have to develop skills than college doesn't matter except iits and nits, If you are from other state and don't have enough money then think wisely before joining and don't have very high hopes from college you will be disappointed.

Academics are on top priority of Heritage Institute of Technology whether teacher teaches well or not but the teacher will teach that is study must go on at any case. In First year average CGPA is less but after that average CGPA increases significantly. To be eligible for this college you will need WBJEE rank less than 15k but for CSE less than 3K, you can take admission from management quota as well and from JEE mains but JEE mains criteria is bullshit if you want CSE you would need 20 k rank in mains but why would someone with 20k rank would not go for NIT. I don't know about quality of academics of other courses as I am a B.Tech student.

Faculties are generally friendly and would try to help whether they can help or not but definitely they try to solve problems. People who are non Bengali and find it difficult to get blend in different cultures may find it difficult because teacher will suddenly speak Bengali in between English but things they speak in Bengali repeat it in English and Hindi. Some teachers are exceptional, most are mediocre and few real bad ones which is case with most college.

Placement scenarios are not great college will say that few students got 40 lakh package but reality that they got that package off campus and college has no role in it. On campus placement is not that good in CSE 1 or 2 students got 15 lakh package which is highest average package is 4 lakh companies which comes are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini which are mass recruiters, For core branch placement scenarios are pathetic most core students land in it companies at last.

There is no hostel facility for boys.

Heritage has one of the best infrastructures in Kolkata with beautiful and well maintained campus with huge canteen, good classrooms, good lab and the best is library, Library is literally the best part of college. There are 3 main building for B.Tech CME, Central block and Ict to incorporate different branches.

Campus Life is mid not pretty good and not bad either, campus is big there are lot spaces where you can walk; there is a ground where you can play. You will find good number of students in campus you have to be proactive to be member of clubs there is lot of favoritism and politics revolve around those clubs. You can expect celebrity visits in my time Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan came and Sadhguru also visited our college.
