So first if we go with the data Maharaja Surajmal Institute ranks no. 1 in Delhi for the BCA Course as per India Today 2020 ranking, and now if I talk about my personal and general review this college is 3.5/5 overall. Let me tell you why I chose this college, it's the first private college affiliated with GGSIPU which is a Public or State-Level University which is funded by the Delhi government and that's the basic reason for choosing this college.

The program is a three-year full-time undergraduate degree focusing on computer applications and software development. And from this year for the enrollment process, the university has started accepting CUET results. The eligibility is that a candidate must have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, the candidate should have studied Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level, and the candidate must have also studied one of the following subjects: Computer Science, Informatics Practices, or Multimedia and Web Technology at the 10+2 level.

The faculty at Maharaja Surajmal Institute is the best you will find in comparison to all the colleges affiliated with GGSIPU. I have personally experienced that all the teachers here are Ph.D. holders or assistant professors, and their teaching and in general, behavior are very good, they will even help you outside the curriculum if you have a genuine interest in the field. The HOD of the Computer Department is also very nice. All teachers are experts in their subjects. You can easily find one teacher in each semester who is rude, but that is just a normal thing to deal with.

Yes, Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Janakpuri has a dedicated placement cell and now they even have a BCA Placement Society which is constantly ensuring that student must get the best from the institute. The Placement record is 90-100%, and it entirely depends upon the students, if they wish to go with placement or MCA or off-campus recruitments. You have seen the salary packages so you can decide if you wish to go with on-campus placements or not, but the fact is, that the placement for this college will go up and improve over time. The top recruiting companies are Jupiter Lab Holding Ltd., Deloitte, Jaro Education, DE Shaw, Amazon, and many more. The average salary package is 5 LPA and the highest package is 27 LPA.

I don't stay in the hostel but some of my classmates do. The hostel provides all the necessary facilities with a total of around 118 rooms (separately for boys and girls). The wardens and caretakers ensure that the students get a clean, green, and relaxed environment. The hostel has a common room with a TV, and indoor and outdoor games facilities to enrich the mental and physical health of the students. It has a 24-hour power supply and also includes the food mess.

The campus is a 7-acre lush green campus, and it consists of 1 Big Auditorium, 3 grounds: 1 for general sitting, 1 for full-fledged outside sports, and 1 for volleyball & badminton, a decent size sports room, and the most important thing are that it is under Surajmal Memorial Institute, which means it has 2 buildings: 1 for undergraduate courses like BCA, B. Ed., BBA, and B. Com., and one big building of 6 floors namely MSIT (Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology) for B. Tech., also there is a good size central library having more than 10 computers and so many books. The institute also has a book bank where you can get books for your subjects. There are more than 9 seminar halls and 8 computer labs overall (MSI + MSIT). You can bunk classes if you want to, but there is a dedicated bunkers’ lane for that. The College has so many societies, like finance, gaming fine art, dance, singing, technical, and also GDSC (Google Developer Student Clubs). If you are an introvert you will come out as an extrovert after taking part in the societies. There is a huge parking area for students to park their bikes, scooters, etc.

Overall campus life is good and you will get a wholesome experience for the time you will be in college and rest is all up to you on how you wish to utilise the college campus. Also, there are so many fests going on in the college like there is an annual fest Anugooj which happens on the main campus of Dwarka, also the crowd is so much good, all the seniors will help you and your peers. It all depends on how you choose your friends.
