The SHUATS University is located in UP, Prayagraj. It is a 100 years old university ranked 369th all over India compared with other Asia’s Universities. It is the Christian Based Minority State Government University that is accredited by ICAR and has received A Grade from NAAC. Additionally, this institute has ranked 56th in the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2020. The prime reasons for choosing this university were that it was offering me more than 300 approved courses as well as it gave me the location advantage. The campus is green, clean, and has a surreal beautiful vintage look.

The selected course of mine was PhD Forensic Sciences. The eligibility for admission is to qualify SHUATS Entrance Test (SOET) and UGC NET Exam. The academic curriculum of this subject includes the course work of one corresponding year followed by research work. The compulsory subjects include forensic toxicology, serology, crime scene, etc. This course work mainly helped me in gaining deep and experienced learning regarding my subject. The main motive to select this subject was the interest factor and the futuristic demand of this course.

All the faculty members of my course were highly qualified and experienced. They have completed their PhD from reputed and prominent institutes. The teaching style of the faculty depends upon the subjective opinion of the students as few topics required blackboards and dictation. The advancement of the educational era has dragged the study pattern over to methods like Google Classroom and Projector-based Study. Moreover, it nurtures and enhances the students’ grasping and cognitive learning powers. The mode of teaching depends upon the demand of the subject and the topic of interest whether it requires Blackboard Teaching or Power Point Learning.

SHUATS has a Career Placement Cell (CPC) that helps in handling the placements and internship programs for the students. It regulates offers and opportunities from the companies by tie-ups with the developed research and innovation firms for increasing the retention factor of the fully fledged studious students. The highest placement was taken up by the students from Agriculture, Horticulture, and B.Tech CS Departments. The highest packages were given by several companies namely Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft, etc. It also provides internships to the students in different private and public sectors of the industry. During my internship program I got the offer to learn from the State Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Agra.

Yes, hostel facilities are provided at the University. The hostels are stretched in a vast area and have separate wings for girls and boys. Additionally, they have AC and Non-AC hostel facility along with the bed, vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, and spacious rooms for National and International students. They have 15+ buildings and 1,000+ rooms. The hostel is designed in a vintage look with red-green pillars and the environment is full of lush greenery. The hostels are available at low costs for the even/odd season based on the interchangement of the student hostel rooms.

The green and surreal campus is spread in more than 1,020 acres. There are various blocks that are designed with a red vintage look. The designs of the building are based on the old monastery types that have separate residential, departmental, sports, and academic buildings. It has very big auditorium and seminar rooms. It has 5+ canteens and a clock that is located at the top of the library.

The campus life of SHUATS University is quite chill and friendly. It also offers their students indoor and outdoor sports complexes and tournaments. It has its own swimming pool along with a large cricket and football ground. The university also has its own public healthcare hospital for their students. It has an open and cool environment where students can dance, play guitar, and enjoy their fun loving college life.
