Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University B.Tech Review By Anand Karnani

Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune is always ranked among the best, there’s absolutely no reason why it shouldn’t be. From infrastructure, to professors, to the facilities available at the campus, nothing is short of being called world class.

The admission process is also easy as it’s a deemed university it conducts its own entrance. However, the competition is stiff as after the IITs, and NITs, people at least in Maharashtra do look for this college. Since, I hail from Gujarat, I have seen a lot of interest in this college from my state as well. In all, the college is great that is if you survive the tough periods.

A long hop is something that I will term it. From 7 am in the morning to 3 pm is not enough there are more often than not guest lectures are conducted and we can only be back to our rooms by 6 or 7. Skipping the classes is just not possible as just like school, you have to give a detailed explanation of why you didn’t attend.

The course is too lengthy and I still wonder why our University is not rated the toughest University on earth. I have friends from IIT and they say they never have to touch the books once they are back in their hostel. Trust me if you are in Bharati Vidyapeeth, this is just not possible. The late night parties, movies that is generally associated with engineering students is not possible at Bharati Vidyapeeth. Studies and more studies is your success mantra then do enroll for this college, otherwise stay away.

They are simple the best. If I call them the backbone, I know I am not wrong. The toughest of syllabus, the competition all looks small in front of our highly qualified professors. They hold an experience that I believe hard to find. Some professors hold experience in teaching for more than 30 years. Thus on faculty front the college has done exceedingly well.

Being in the final year, I am worried though. The pandemic I hope don’t take its toll on us. If I compare it by the time I enrolled in the college, the placements quality is on an upward swing. The placement scale has gone up and will have to admit that the placement cell has done a great job. Being a mechanical student, you can’t wait to jump in the pool of industry as I believe I have given all that I have in last 4 years.

Companies like Tata Motors, M&M, and Bajaj Auto are always there and I don’t mind going there as I don’t want to leave Pune. I hope that I get placed through campus. I have kept my fingers crossed.

Please don’t stay there. I am not saying I come from a privileged background but the hostel life is something I don’t want to experience ever in my life. If this is how the hostels are then please I don’t recommend it. Yes the building is fine, the facilities are great but looks like a cigarette factory. The management why ignores it is something I haven’t understood yet.

Even after paying Rs. 1lakh hostel fees, you are not treated well, not served well. We are from different state and can’t have Maharashtrian or South Indian food always. Yes, that was all in the menu. Talking about the common room and sport room, you will never get a chance to try any of those until you come in 3rd year. What’s the use then?

From hindsight, it may look as if you are entering a different world. Trust me, it’s that beautiful and has everything one can ask for. The library is huge and one library is stationed in almost all the buildings. The washrooms are so clean and the water filters on each floor was something that I boast always.

The canteens serve some of the best coffees and missal pav. If you see the campus, trust me you will forget any other college and would kick in to be a part of this beautiful college.

This is my final year and will soon be an ex student. No matter where I am or where I go have some beautiful memories from the college. The fests were one of the best. Our college hosted the fest for engineering colleges in Pune in 2018 and it was one of the best sights. Personalities like Mithali Palkar and Jackie Shroff were the guest of honors. I am sure this would have enticed you to become a part of this college. Therefore, no matter which all colleges you apply don’t count this college out from your list of colleges.

Hostel is the only drawback as other than that there are only positives to talk about.
