Indian Institute of Information Technology B.Tech Review By Krishna Puri Goswami

The journey started from my JEE preparation when I didn't worked much hard to be honest so my JEE mains rank was around 27000 (crl), so as per my interest in Information Technology, I had to find the best college according to my rank and IIIT UNA is the best growing college it is growing rapidly even its growth rate is much higher than some established NITs so this was the main reason to join this college and till now my expectations are fully matched I'm totally satisfied with the college in some aspects but obviously there are the things that I don’t like about this college that I'm going to mention further.

The branch in which I am pursuing my degree is "Information Technology "(IT) and from my school days I was so much fascinated by IT sector, so this is because I enrolled in IT Branch. In this course you are taught various subjects like Computers, Mathematics, AI.ML, Web Development, App Development, etc. The students have the option to choose their particular field in the 5th semester. So, you can grow in the field of your own interest. The eligibility, requirements are decided my JOSAA each year you can check the data on their official website.

One of the things I don't like about this college is the way of teaching of some of the faculties till now. Some are extremely good in teaching I understand everything in their subjects, but some teachers are just out of my mind. There are some lectures I've attended where I haven't even understood a single thing to be honest but college have a library so you can read by books by yourself so that's fine, but this is something you should consider as a con of this college.

The placement thing is the best pro and the most convincing reason to join this college because as compared to the other colleges you can get at the similar cut-offs the placement is much higher in IIIT UNA. Lots of companies come to the college and provide decent packages to the students. The average package of IT this year was 16.54 LPA and it's growing rapidly. So, you can join the college if placement is your first priority.

There are three hostels in our college names as Jathargini (where first year students live), chetagni and bhutagni (for 2nd 3rd and final year students). Hostels are decent, one room is shared among 3 students the room size is good enough, so you won't feel suffocated. But yes, because there are your roommates living with you so you might feel privacy issues here.

There are two buildings apart from hostels one is administrative block and other is Academic block. In Admin block there are teachers (faculties) sitting in their offices including director and all the management and whenever you need a help related to anything the management team is present there to guide you. And academic block is the buildings where all the classes are hold there are several labs like Computer Labs, English Labs, Physics Labs, Electrical Lab, Library, etc.

To be honest campus life is decent in this college. As it is one of the very few IIITs having permanent campus, so you'll not feel any problem in the campus life yes, the biggest problem in this college is gender ration it's 1:20 (girls: boys) as of now but it's increasing year by year. And there are lots of sports facilities music club, dance club, unofficial rap club, coding clubs are quite active but there is one more problem that 75% percent attendance is mandatory in this college it is very strict when talking about attendance. So, college life is decent I would say that it’s not very good nor it’s bad, it's decent. You'll enjoy.
