My Journey at IIT Kanpur

Overall Rating
Although I don't like every aspect of the college due to its geographical location, the food, climate, hall facilities, etc., my overall experience in this college is good. It doesn't meet my expectations I had before coming to college in some respects. We are unaware of many clubs and activities which we are unable to know properly through any organised platform.
 

Academics Rating
The profs are very helpful in explaining the concepts. The tutorials are also very helpful. But Academics here are tougher and some of the profs are very strict that they don't even hesitate to fail any number of students. We are unable to know how to study and what to study. The pingala portal is having glitches which create problems in knowing our schedule and all other things.
 

Faculty Rating
The profs here are very helpful in explaining the concepts. They are well experienced. They interact with us friendly and create a friendly atmosphere. The tutors are also very helpful. Some profs are very strict about evaluating. Overall, the faculty here is good. I give them 4 stars rating out of 5.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is very good. It gives us the classic and nostalgic feel. The auditorium, OAT, Lecture Hall complex, Library, DJAC, what not almost every building is marvelous and shows off the grander of our college. Our halls are also well constructed such that they give us a classic look. Some buildings are of high tech, and some are classic overall everything is beautiful.
 

Campus Rating
First thing to mention is that we got full freedom here in our campus. We can rome anywhere wearing anything. There is no ragging. Seniors are very good to interact with us. We feel IIT Kanpur as our home far from home. The events and fests were organised greatly. Roaming in this beautiful green campus in nights gives me pleasure and peace for my mind.

    Actually, I didn't have many expectations from IIT Kanpur but when I came here, it totally proved me wrong. My home is too far from here but still I chose this institute. This institute gives us freedom more than we expect. Here, we can have nice interaction with seniors as they are so friendly. They always feel friendly.     For me, IITK has been life changing. The campus itself feels like a mini city with greenery, modern facilities and a vibrant student community.
