Nice Placements with a great crowd

Overall Rating
It is one of the best options for Engineering College in Mumbai University, because it is located in Bandra, it has good crowd over other colleges such as Vivekanand or DJ Sanghvi. It has good placements almost 70-80% of students of CS, IT and AI & DS branch got placed. It has latest PCs and Air-Conditioned labs and classes. No attendance issue, except some branches because of their faculty.
 

Academics Rating
It has many branches, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Electronics Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. Artificial Intelligence & Data Science is the newest and most preferred over other branches and CS and IT are other good branches for software engineering. Curriculum is given by Mumbai University as this college is not autonomous.
 

Faculty Rating
It has good and experienced faculty members, particularly for my branch (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science), which has HOD (Head of Department) as Madhuri Rao and other faculty Himani Deshpande, Bhushan Jadhav, Naveen Vaswani. These faculties have PhD and carry more than a decade of experience in industry and teaching.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, college does have Training and Placement Cell. It is one of the best colleges for placements in Mumbai University, it has great network with companies and some of the companies that visit the campus are Deloitte, Oracle, Deutsche bank and many more.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It has nice infrastructure, not too big, but decent enough. It has two buildings, old and new. All classes are air conditioned. It has well equipped labs with latest PCs (32GB ram and latest processor). Lift is one thing they should look after. It has library in old building. Some labs also have Mac PCs, which can be accessed with permission.
 

Campus Rating
It has good crowd. There are fests and other cultural events very often. There are various clubs such as NSS, Tsec Codecell and various other clubs for engagement. One of the main events here is traditional day where all the students wear traditional clothes and various dance, and music performance takes place.

    I got admission in TSEC through the spot rounds that happened after the regular MHT-CET CAP rounds. The initial excitement of getting into the college was quite short lived, as it did not meet my expectations. Being one of the top Engineering colleges in Mumbai, it lacked quite a few things.     Thadomal Shahani Engineering College is a place where you will have a lot of opportunities but not engineering. From studies point of view it’s better that there are various other engineering colleges in Mumbai because after 4 years, you will have a BE degree but will get skilled in other things like marketing, publicity, event management and for sure dancing as every event in the college was celebrated with a dance floor being arranged.
