GNDU Amritsar campus area is nearly 500 acres. It has upto 17 buildings for academic purposes where different departments & blocks have advanced amenities in order to create holistic environment for the students.

Academic Amenities
At the academic blocks of the State University, a number of ICT enabled interactive and smart classrooms along with a few lecture halls are present with theatre-style seating arrangements. A ‘Lecture Theatre Complex’ is available at the premises where exams and other large-scale academic sessions are held.
‘Maharaja Ranjit Singh Bhawan Auditorium’, ‘Dashmesh Auditorium’, ‘Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan Auditorium’, ‘Guru Nanak Bhawan Auditorium’, and other auditoriums have been constructed inside the GNDU Amritsar campus with centralised air-conditioning, acoustic sound system, sufficient seats & modern multimedia facilities for organising interactive and large-scale events.

There is a Conference Hall inside the ‘Guru Nanak Dev Bhavan’ as well. - Library: ‘Bhai Gurdas Library’, a 5-storied central library available inside the GNDU Amritsar campus is fully-computerised and contains study resources such as 5,43,355+ books, 14,000+ rare books, 12,730+ rare books, 130+ Indian & 50+ Foreign journals, 2500+ menuscripts, and so on to assist students in their academics. To create a peaceful study space for the students, the central library has a 24/7 air-conditioned reading hall & it has a capacity of about 250 students.
Xerox, book-binding section, seminar cum orientation hall, circulation, and other services & facilities are present at the central library as well. Inside this central library, there is a separate ‘Digital Lounge’ with upto 100 computers so that students can navigate 13,000+ e- journals & other Online material.
Besides this, there are about 22 departmental libraries like ‘Asia House Library’, ‘MRS Bhawan Library’, and others are present to provide students with easy access to the required course books.
- Laboratories: To provide highly-advanced computing services to the students, computer labs and ‘Centre for IT Solutions’ have modern systems. Along with that, Architecture, Engineering & Technology, Management, Sociology, Sciences & other departments consist of numerous laboratories which are fully-equipped so that students can improve their practical skills & knowledge.

- Sports: Around 30 acres area of the GNDU Amritsar campus is covered with different playing spaces. - Hostel: Top-notch residential amenities are available for outstation students at University’s campus. In total, there are nearly 7 GNDU Amritsar Hostels, out of which 4 are for female students and rest of them are occupied by male students. 2, 3, 4, and 5 sharing rooms of all such hostels are furnished with all the necessary amenities so that students can stay comfortably and achieve their academic goals.
