Guru Nanak Dev University Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Amritsar

There are approximately 7 GNDU Amritsar hostels available including ‘Sahibzada Jujhar Sign Boys Hostel-I’, Mata Nanaki Girls Hostel-I’, and others which are located within the campus in order to provide world-class living facilities to the male and female students. These hostels can accommodate over 3800 students in total.

The hostels available at the campus of GNDU Amritsar comprise more than 1756 rooms with requisite furniture like bed, wardrobe, etc. and are allotted on a wide range of occupancies as per availability including double, triple, and others.

To stay within the hostels of the educational Institution students will have to deposit the specified amount as it is compulsory. Also, the per year GNDU Amritsar hostel fees range from Rs. 17,000/- to Rs. 32,000/-.

Hostellers are liable to follow several rules prescribed by the authorities in order to continue their stay at the hostels. Few of the essential guidelines that student should know are stated below:

• Hostellers should not change their rooms by themselves in normal circumstances during the session.
• Residents are not allowed to shift furniture as it will not be entertained by the respective authorities.
• Students themselves will be responsible for the safety & security of their personal items and the Hostel authorities will not take accountability for any type of theft or loss.
• Strict actions will be taken against students found indulging in illegal actions like ragging.
• Female hostellers should return to the hostels of the University by 09:30 PM and the timing specified for boys is 11:00 PM.
• Residents are strictly not allowed to prepare / cook food inside the Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar hostel rooms.
• Students should not permit any guest inside their rooms without taking official permission.

Around 4 hostels for girls and 3 for male students are available comprising various essential facilities within the GNDU Amritsar Campus. Multiple facilities like bed, chair, study table, and wardrobe are present inside the double, triple, quadruple & pentuple sharing GNDU Amritsar hostel rooms.

In order to maintain decency within the hostel messes, some rules have been laid down by the respective authorities and few of these are mentioned below:

• Food will not be served to the students before or after the specified mess timings.
• Hostellers will have to submit the mess fee by the specified date and if they fail to do so then a fine will be imposed on them.
• Students can take consent from the warden if they want their food to be served inside the hostel room in case of any medical issue.
• Hostellers are strictly not permitted to take any utensils / crockery / furniture out of the mess or dining hall.
