St. Joseph's Institute of Management Bangalore Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Campus of St. Joseph is little tough to figure out. If I mention about the facilities of the campus there was a computer lab which was used for doing all the projects. The entire campus was Wi-Fi with a speed beyond words. The playing area were less as there were two basketball courts as one was for boys and the other one was reserved for girls. The SIJM building had the library at the top floor and a small but canteen close to the main building. Infrastructure was neither here nor there because facilities wise it was sufficient but as they say the wants are unlimited.

Sports are an integral part of the college as all students were bound to play one sport or the other. Legendary cricketer Anil Kumble was invited for one guest lecture and he himself is an engineer, so he shared his thoughts on sports can help in studies as well. Life was balanced at St. Joseph as I did miss home on certain occasions but the college has made it up on most of the time.Read Full Review

Infrastructure of SJIM was good as it housed almost all the facilities required. Electric library and gates would only open with I-cards. College gates too were ICT enabled and this was a new concept as we follow the same today in our offices. The campus is beautiful as it has 2 lush green gardens and a sporting area that one can only dream of. The cricket ground is close to domestic grounds as there are practice pitches along with main pitch that is taken care by the curator. There’s a gymnasium which has all the latest equipment’s to stay fit and build some muscles. The canteen was something that I had issues with but as I have said the college location was arguably the best and food issue never felt like one.

SJIM hostel Joseph Premiere League every year in which all Joseph Institute students would participate. Just like any other league this league too became popular among college students as entry was not just restricted to college students as we were allowed to bring our friends along. Bangalore is called Garden city of India for a reason as almost all college campuses are lush green. The campus was big obviously in terms of my previous university quite small but still big enough in right sense. Digitization was the key as classrooms had ACs and even the library was air-conditioned. Library was accessed through a chip enabled card and every book that we took the entry was done in the system immediately. Time is the key and to make sure that time is saved the college had taken the transportation department in their own hands and had nearly 50 buses to drop students to respective locations. Sports ground was beautiful and an indoor basketball court with wooden flooring was the first time I played in such a court. The court also had an audience area and guys cheered us during our matches. It was fun and yes, the college canteen’s coffee was mind blowing. There was hardly any grey area in terms of infrastructure as I was thinking of some demerit but I am sorry, I can’t find any.

Every year we used to have a 2-week break and in that time sports week, cultural event and all took place. Nothing was rushed here as sports were organized Olympic style where students were distributed in groups and it was the group that won. Support from students and faculties was terrific as so far from my place and yet missing them hardly became possible just because of such warm facilities and people at SJIM.Read Full Review
