SJCC Bangalore

SJCC Bangalore has established a Placement Cell that is accountable for facilitating the students with employment opportunities. A Training Cell is also functional that organises various pre-placement activities, thus, equipping the students with the necessary professional skills. The College has strong tie-ups with several companies which are invited to enlighten the students about the career opportunities and also to participate in the SJCC Bangalore Placement drives.

EY, Plivo, Accenture, Deloitte, Amazon, Target Corporation, Honeywell, Mu Sigma, TCS, JP Morgan, KPMG, and Goldman Sachs are a few prominent recruiters that have previously hired the competent students of the College.

The campus of the SJCC Bangalore has been developed in approximately 2.25 acres of land area. A multitude of Wi-Fi access points are available across the premises for students to effortlessly study from the online learning resources. ICT enabled tools are installed in the classrooms to provide an interactive learning session to the students.

At the SJCC Bangalore Campus, CCTVs are installed & security personnel are deployed to provide a safe & secure environment to the students. Lifts, ramps, railings, wheelchairs, etc. are available at the College so that the differently-abled students can easily access all facilities.

The major learning & non-academic amenities offered by the College are discussed in detail below:

• Library: A Library & Information Centre is there at the College wherein a comprehensive collection of study materials are available such as books, magazines, newspapers, National & International journals, projects, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, and more in various disciplines.
  Besides this, digital library facilities are available for the students that can be accessed using the PCs available along with Internet connection. The remaining amenities and services offered to students include adequate reading space, book bank, lending, photocopy, inter-library loan, and the list goes on.
• Laboratories: There is a computer centre in the premises under which 2 computer labs, fully-fledged with the latest systems & Internet connection are functional. These labs are air-conditioned and have a combined seating capacity of nearly 160 students. Here, the students are provided with industry-aligned practical training with the purpose to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical learning.
  Moreover, various other labs for different departments are available; some of those are:

• Auditorium: The College has 2 auditoriums namely ‘Loyola Hall’ and ‘Xavier Hall’ that are air-conditioned, have a huge seating capacity, and well-equipped with modern multimedia & lighting aids. At these venues, various educational & cultural events are held.
• Seminar Halls: Seminars, guest lectures, presentations, and related activities are organised at the seminar halls that have adequate AV systems.
• Conference Hall: The conference rooms / halls are equipped with AC, projector, speakers, screen, smart board, and much more aids and are utilised for hosting various academic activities.
• Cafeteria: SJCC Bangalore has a canteen with sufficient seating capacity wherein students can spend time with their friends during lecture breaks. Here, a variety of appetising snacks, dishes, and beverages are served to cater the diverse taste preferences of the students.
  Apart from this, around 2 vending machines are also available at the canteen from where students can instantly purchase snacks.
• Hostel: Off-campus accommodation facilities are available for the outstation boys of the College. The SJCC Bangalore Hostel rooms are provided to the students on a sharing basis; the remaining amenities include mess, gymnasium, security, etc.
• Sports: The campus of the College has adequate sports infrastructure such as an Athletic Track, Fields, and Courts for outdoor games like Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basketball, Throwball, and Kabaddi, to name a few.
  A Sports Room & dedicated spaces are there for indoor games like Carrom, Chess, and Table Tennis. Other than this, a well-equipped gymnasium is present for the students so that they can exercise and maintain their physical health.
• Medical Facilities: Basic first-aid facilities are available at the premises to treat the injured and ill students. During medical emergencies, the students are transferred to the tie-up Hospital named ‘St. Martha’s Hospital, Bengaluru’ for specialised treatments.
• Remaining Facilities: AV Rooms, Parking, Lift, Board Room, Common Rooms, and many more amenities are offered by SJCC Bangalore.
