SJIM is one of the top management schools of the country. Everyone knows that getting here requires big numbers and nice presentation of oneself at the GD & PI rounds. So, if all goes well, one can be a part of this decorated institute which is second to IIM in Bangalore. How to bring out the best in one is what SJIM is good at. Karnataka is a rural state and rather than taking us on expensive foreign trips, SJIM took us to rural India and experience the problem that rural India is facing. So, SJIM don’t just make management students but students who are well aware of their social responsibilities. Just after joining the college, the college’s first fest of the year, Pinnacle is organized. The fest was more about relaxing the nerves and getting used to living a stressed life. Not many would know this but SJIM is one of the oldest B-School in the country. It was established before IIM-B and is rated as one of the top colleges for management studies. The college is autonomous and might not be known to people outside Karnataka but is ranked the second-best Management school of Karnataka after IIM. I so really think that I can explain it to my readers that how good SJIM was. It has a management quota and that is how I got admissions here because seats are less and it accepts a huge CAT percentile which I didn’t have. MAT score though is what is considered for intake more than CAT or other similar scores. Moving on the college has a nice infrastructure and most importantly it’s the pedigree that counts. St. Joseph holds a bright name in education in Karnataka and I feel so sad that people outside Karnataka doesn’t even know about institutes of St. Joseph.Read Full Review

For the first time in my life, I went to co-ed college. My schooling happened in all-girls school and graduation too at all-girls Banasthali University. St. Joseph group mostly has boys colleges and schools till undergrad but fortunately for PG they have a co-ed system. 50% of the students were Mallus and that united the other students because voting played a huge role in getting important positions in the college. Holistic growth is given importance here and therefore not just academic and sports but cultural activities too were huge fun there. Girls ratio was quite less but the guys were quite supportive and so was the management. Everything here was laced with latest technologies like the library the college gate and mainly the classrooms. Coming from a background where English was hardly spoken, I shied away from my fellow mates but sooner developed the skills to be confident enough to face the challenge of getting engaged with my classmates.Read Full Review
