Thapar University Patiala Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Thapar University’s academic block is organized and modern with plenty of space. University is situated at the center part of Patiala with easy access to almost everything; the campus is also very massive with all facilities provided. An average lecture hall can hold up to 150 students, and it is equipped with audio-visual aids. University has 1 big library, at least 2 labs for every department of the branch for every year student, 1 seminar hall, 1 auditorium, and many conference or group discussion rooms in the library. There are many canteens throughout campus and extensive sports facilities like a gym, sports fields, track, and many more. The campus is secured with full security at all places and surveillance systems. My favorite place on campus will be the library as it's a very peaceful and has good environment. The well-equipped labs and group discussion rooms complement our academic experience.

Campus life at Thapar University is incredibly vibrant and fun, the campus supports good exposure to meet new friends along the way in academics. The Thapar University crowd is mostly North Indians which is great; students come from different places across India. Many clubs offer different exposure and development. The university organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, including workshops, etc. Our greatest event in university would be "Saturnalia" which happens on a big scale with shops, performances, and guests coming to this event. There are like 8 to 10 academic blocks in the campus and all are present with suitable sitting capacities according to the strength of classes and all are centrally air conditioned with automated washrooms and world-class facilities. Canteen is present in every block that is run by Sodexo. Library in the campus is among the top 5 best libraries among the country and named as ‘Nava Nalanda Library’. Dispensary is present with its availability for 24 hours with specialized doctors present and ambulance service is present that arrives to the hostel midnight on one call and refers the student to hospital outside if necessary. My favorite part in the campus infrastructure is Library.

Overall campus life is awesome with healthy and joyful mixture of studies and enjoyment. Many clubs train the students not only academically but also culturally and socially for their bright future ahead. Annual fest of the university has just ended with a grand concert of renowned singer Amit Trivedi. The Thapar University campus has designated blocks for every single/major department in the University. Total campus size is approximately 350 acres. It is located near the cantonment area of Patiala. All blocks and lecture halls have appropriate seating capacity to accommodate an extra 30-40 students in case of emergencies. Labs are equipped with all the latest technologies as well as safety equipment. The library has all relevant literatures available for reference for the students. There are also multiple canteens/cafes adjacent to every block for convenience of both the students and the faculty. A health center/ dispensary and chemist shop is also present inside the campus for case of any medical emergencies. My favorite aspect of the infrastructure is the sports equipment and the play ground/ fields that are available for the students to make use of.

My overall campus life at Thapar University is fun and exciting. The University crowd is also decent with many students at similar or even complementing skill sets with each other. One along with the studies can learn to face real life challenges as well as can understand the meaning that "Man is a social animal". Life at the campus is exciting as well as adventurous in all aspects like culturally, socially and obviously technically.Read Full Review
