MET Institute of Management Mumbai Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

A building that boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure is what MET is all about. I will begin with classrooms as it was for the first time in my life, I saw such classrooms that had audiovisual provision. Not just the classrooms but the convention center and the seminar hall too had all such facilities. Secondly, all the rooms are air-conditioned and getting out of the college in Mumbai humid climate felt such a pain that I mostly avoided going out during college hours. The entire ambiance of the college gave us a corporate feeling. The most used and the best part of the building was the super-built convention center where all the management workshops and guest seminars took place. Needless to say that the entire campus was Wi-Fi enabled. Lastly, the canteen as the students from Mumbai brought their food from home but for outsiders like us, Canteen was a savior.

Sitting with people of Mumbai and learning about their approach was not new for me as my elder brother and many friends from my city stay in Mumbai. So I was aware of the kind of lifestyle and how people approach life over here. One thing that took me by surprise was that the ratio of girls and boys was almost equal. A small parking area is followed by the main building. This is where the infrastructure of the college starts and ends at the top floor of the building that has a MET World of Music. You must be wondering what is that but MMA or MBA are stressful course and music is a stress buster. So, whenever we felt like we need some break, we could go there and enjoy the music of our choice. On the second last floor there was a room called MET World of Sports. Many brain challenging games along with table tennis, chess and carom were available there. Nearly four to five rooms combine made Sports rooms. Right next to the sports room was the canteen. We had to practice for virtual conferences and they were done in state-of-the-art conference room. The institute was compact in terms of area but in terms of facilities it was as good as anything.

Daily 8-10 hours were spent at the campus. MMS is a rigours course and therefore the break during the classes were the best part of our campus life. MET has many more institutes and all of them gather once in a year for MET UTSAV which was held at Nashik in 2018 and in 2019, it was in Mumbai. A tall glass building that has state-of-the-art facilities. All the classrooms are air-conditioned and facilitated with LED and projectors. E-library that docs thousands of books, journals, and magazines. The college interiors are smart and classy. All the guest lectures were conducted in the beautiful convention center located on the second floor. All the debates and discussions were held at the conference rooms which were again nicely built and had some of the best interiors I have ever seen. The computer lab even though small were equipped with all the latest computers and software that made submissions easy. The canteen was huge and great as I never stepped out for lunch because the menu was appetizing. There’s also a recreation room with table tennis tables and other indoor sports that helped us unwind after a long day at the college. The college understands how important it is to unwind and therefore the MWM (MET World of Music) room has been made where we used to go and relax with music on and headphones over our head. All in all the facilities at MET were ultra-modern.

MET is a glimpse of how the lifestyle of Mumbai is. All rich people’s kids come and study at the college and you can see the kind of cars that are parked at the parking. MET’s alumni base is also quite strong and they were called upon every now and then. This was just to make us realize that MET students have reached the top and if we could take some learning from them. The college also promoted many social campaigns and save the girl child was one such campaign when all the MET students posted the hoardings at various suburbs of Mumbai. All these were a part of the curriculum and every damn project we did had a purpose behind that. Infusing new skills and making us industry-ready was the only motive of the institute. MET was a life-changing experience and hopefully, I will be invited someday by the institute as an alumni of the college.Read Full Review
