The respective authorities have formed hostel rules that male & female hostellers need to abide by in order to create a respectful and equal living space for everyone. Some of the general rules of the hostels are as follows:

The Institute has built around 3 multi-storeyed hostels out of which nearly 2 are for boys and 1 for girls namely, ‘Bajaj Auto Hall of Residence for Women’. These hostels are present within the IISER Pune Campus and they also provide accommodation facilities to the male & female research scholars.
Students get ventilated IISER Pune hostel rooms and they are also equipped with requisite furniture like bed, table, etc. Nutritious and hygienic meals are served to the students in the mess / dining hall and the functioning of this place is monitored by the Mess Monitoring Committee.
Apart from this, a common / TV / assembly room is present on the different floors of the hostels to provide a dedicated place to the residents for recreational purposes. Also, the hostels have RO water, washing machines, and dedicated space for drying clothes on each floor.
In order to ensure the safety of the students, the hostel authorities have appointed security staff within the residential area to provide round-the-clock security. Also, fire alarms and extinguishers are available in the hostels for emergency purposes. Residents get 24/7 water and electricity supply and requisite medical aid via the wellness centre at the hostels.
