IISER Pune Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

There are around 3 IISER Pune hostels that are located within the campus to provide accommodations to male and female students separately. The IISER Pune hostel fees (yearly) ranges from Rs. 10,400/- to Rs. 15,000/- (without mess & additional charges), depending on the course chosen by the student.

The hostels of IISER Pune contain facilities like furnished rooms, mess / dining hall, round-the-clock security, medical services, etc. that offer a comfortable living space to the hostellers.

The IISER Pune hostel fees differ based on the course opted by the student. Information about the course-wise hostel fees is mentioned in the table below:

* The IISER Pune charges Rs. 1000/- as hostel admission fee (one-time). Students are suggested to check the official website of the Institute to get details related to the hostel fees.

The respective authorities have formed hostel rules that male & female hostellers need to abide by in order to create a respectful and equal living space for everyone. Some of the general rules of the hostels are as follows:

• Students residing in the hostels cannot leave the residential area without obtaining permission in advance from the respective authorities.
• Residents will be solely responsible for keeping their personal belongings and valuable items in the hostel.
• Hostellers are strictly prohibited to indulge in ragging related activities. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against those who are found guilty.
• Students cannot use electrical appliances like heaters, electric iron, kettle, stove, etc. in the hostel rooms.
• Activities like consumption of alcohol or other narcotic substances are banned in the hostel and Institute’s premises.
• Residents should avoid making loud noises or disturbing other hostel mates after the specified timings.
• Hostellers should switch off the lights, fans, and other devices while leaving their respective rooms.

The Institute has built around 3 multi-storeyed hostels out of which nearly 2 are for boys and 1 for girls namely, ‘Bajaj Auto Hall of Residence for Women’. These hostels are present within the IISER Pune Campus and they also provide accommodation facilities to the male & female research scholars.

Students get ventilated IISER Pune hostel rooms and they are also equipped with requisite furniture like bed, table, etc. Nutritious and hygienic meals are served to the students in the mess / dining hall and the functioning of this place is monitored by the Mess Monitoring Committee.

Apart from this, a common / TV / assembly room is present on the different floors of the hostels to provide a dedicated place to the residents for recreational purposes. Also, the hostels have RO water, washing machines, and dedicated space for drying clothes on each floor.

In order to ensure the safety of the students, the hostel authorities have appointed security staff within the residential area to provide round-the-clock security. Also, fire alarms and extinguishers are available in the hostels for emergency purposes. Residents get 24/7 water and electricity supply and requisite medical aid via the wellness centre at the hostels.
