A Training & Placement Cell is available which encourages and prepares the students for the BIT Mesra placement process by conducting a ‘Campus Placement Program’ in order to assist them in acquiring high salary packages. In the 2024-25 academic session, 11.66 LPA is the average package obtained by the students and BIT Mesra highest package so far is 145 LPA.

More than 250 companies took part in the recruitment process held in the 2024-25 academic year such as Microsoft, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, and so on to hire students which aligns with the requirements as per the job roles offered by them. Also, over 650 job offers were provided to the students during the same session.

The dedicated cell organises multiple seminars, webinars, industrial visits, and other activities for the students enrolled in the academic programs available at BIT Mesra to familiarise them with the corporate world.

• Step 1: The dedicated cell sends formal invitations to numerous leading companies to take part in the Birla Institute of Technology Mesra placement process.
• Step 2: Post this, interested organisations accept the invitation by sending a filled Job Application Form (JAF).
• Step 3: Now, the eligibility conditions, job description, and other details are updated on the T&P portal in accordance with the JAF filled by various companies.
• Step 4: Afterwards, interested students are supposed to register for the particular job roles they are interested in.
• Step 5: Followed by this, the schedule of company visits is specified by the dedicated cell and the list of registered students along with their resumes are shared with the organisations.
• Step 6: Post this, in order to make students familiar with job profiles and other details, the companies present a PPT after which tests, Group Discussion (GD), and others are held.
• Step 7: Now, on the basis of performance, the organisations shares the name of selected students and feedback with the dedicated cell.
• Step 8: Lastly, before the academic session ends, the companies send the offer letters of the shortlisted students.
