Even though Birla group is not in tech business, they have been able to call upon some of the biggest tech companies to the campus. Whichever name comes to your mind, they were all present for BIT Mesra Placement with a ruler on their hand as every company expects a lot from students when they come to BIT Mesra. So those who passed their question sessions successfully were rewarded handsomely with a CTC of 6-7 LPA. 6-7 is average while the highest package in our batch was 48.2 LPA. So, placements were extra ordinary especially in a state like Jharkhand which is backward in terms of education. In our country, there is a myth that Colleges have 100% placement records. At least in BIT, where they claim every year that all the students were placed can't be true. If that was true, why didn't it happen in our batch? The placement ratio was definitely on the higher side, but not 100%. There were students with many offers in their hands, while there were a few who didn't have any. I agree that there was no disparity as students were hired on their potential and we were trained rigorously to get placed. So those who missed placements at campus can blame themselves and some who didn't take placements like me because we had to study further.Read Full Review
