St. Xavier's College Mumbai Faculty Profile

Almost all of the professors are Ph.D qualified and have really deep knowledge about the subject they are teaching. Every other professor has minimum 5 to 10 years of experience and they are supportive. Method of teaching involves blackboard, use of books, PPTs, and group discussions as well. The problem solving ability of the faculty is also really good and appreciative. I feel there's a bridge between 12th and B.Com studies, as we have subjects in which we have no idea. Even accountancy take leaps from what we have studied in 12th. So, faculty’s role becomes that more important. I guess it’s their experience and teaching standards that gave us the strength required to bridge the gap between school syllabus and college syllabus. Two of our professors are teaching here since last 3 decades. When I came to know that, I was Jaw dropped as while teaching, they are always grounded and it has touched me the most about most of my course faculty members.Read Full Review

Overall, faculty at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai is good with few exceptional teachers like Dr. Agnelo Menezes, who is the epitome of economics. He teaches at JBIMS and every student of my college is fond of his teaching method. Other faculty members are above average as well. Method of teaching is pretty basic using blackboards and PPTs usually. Faculty is overall approachable and good to talk with. They also prepare you for real world challenges.Read Full Review
