Outstanding Infrastructure at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai

Overall Rating
St. Xavier's College, Mumbai is a great college with amazing exposure, just like Delhi’s top colleges. This is hands down the best in the nation for BMS, at this price and with a good brand value. Overall, has a great infrastructure and has a student exchange programs with universities like Harvard. When exchange students visit our campus, compare it with Harvard's dining room, the college has a long history since 1869 and is really great. I would recommend this college to all the students who want good academics and proper exposure in a well built campus.
 

Academics Rating
I chose BMS as I wanted to get into MBA later. For admission I gave the XET test which has 60% weight age and 40% weight age for 12th board marks, Admission process is smooth, just keep following the official website. We have 2 exams one CIA (20 marks) and one ESE (30 marks ) for a 2 credit course. Also, a 60 marks exam for a 4 credit course.
1st semester fee is Rs. 75,000. For 2nd and 3rd semester it is Rs. 50,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Overall, faculty at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai is good with few exceptional teachers like Dr. Agnelo Menezes, who is the epitome of economics. He teaches at JBIMS and every student of my college is fond of his teaching method. Other faculty members are above average as well. Method of teaching is pretty basic using blackboards and PPTs usually. Faculty is overall approachable and good to talk with. They also prepare you for real world challenges.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, a placement cell is present, it helps for internships. Lots of firms like Hindustan Unilever, JP Morgan, Stanley, Bain, and Accenture visit college for internships and placements. Average package was around 6 LPA and highest package was 18 LPA for BMS this year. So, placement cell is good giving you a kick start for you corporate life.
 

Hostel Rating
College does provide hostel facilities but I don’t have much idea as I am a day scholar.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is good overall. Classrooms are pretty big and spacious. The college has an old ancient architectural charm which is extremely surprising even for Harvard students. Actually many movies are shot here just because of its beautiful architecture. There is a very big and spacious library having a huge collection of books on variety of subject matter, if it course books or fictional books. Classrooms are pretty big and spacious. There is an in house badminton and chess area within the gymnasium area and it again looks very spacious and is good to play.
 

Campus Rating
I am having a great campus life here. The college crowd is diverse; having students from all states of India and also has some foreign nationals. There are more than a 100 different clubs, and many extracurricular activities are conducted in the college. These activities are extremely entertaining and value additive as well. Expert and speaker sessions are held very often which are pretty informative and good to attend.

    I have been a part of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai since the last 2 months and all I can say is it's a really good college, provides nice opportunities for Extracurricular activities, sports, debates etc. Even the college clubs are good though getting in is somewhat difficult.     All the keypoints that make a college great are covered by St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. I took admissions in 2024 and was excited to join it at the earliest after my admissions were confirmed. Thrill to go college daily hasn't come down by a single percent. If the question is why this college and not others then my answer is always try for the best one. It is the best indeed.... Offering academic excellence, vibrant extracurricular and top notch exposure, it rivals Delhi's best. Located near BSE and RBI, it provides students with prime financial and cultural access.
