In India, every student of Commerce and Arts backgrounds dreams of getting into DU. But St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, is a strong contender and is often called Mumbai's SRCC. Offering academic excellence, vibrant extracurricular and top notch exposure, it rivals Delhi's best. Located near BSE and RBI, it provides students with prime financial and cultural access. Though its old building lacks AC but the campus infrastructure provides relief from Mumbai's heat, making it highly sought after.

St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, offers three-year undergraduate courses BA, B.Sc, B.COM and self-financed programs like BMS, BMM, B.Sc I.T and BFA. Admissions for self-financed courses instead of B.A, F are based on the Xavier Entrance test (60%) and HSC scores (40%), while other courses rely solely on HSC scores. It also offers post-graduation courses and also has its junior college for class 11 -12. In Xavier’s 75% attendance is a must and there is a certain amount of ECC points to be earned by students and also 60 hours of compulsory social work every semester.

The teachers are knowledgeable and well-educated. Most of them have Ph.D and are specialists in their subjects, such as in Business, Law, etc. Their teaching style is very professional and scoring is also very moderate. For 10 CGPA, we need to score 80% and for 9 CGPA, we need to score 70%. There are internal exams of 20 marks and end semester exam of 60 marks.

The college's placement cell is effective at securing jobs for its students and a high percentage of students get placed, most often from courses like BMS, BA, B.Sc statistics and IT and college have average package of 6-8 LPA and last year highest placement of 30 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are JP Morgan, HUL, Morgan Stanley, and the banking sector.

St. Xavier's Mumbai hostel is available for first and third-year boys based on HSC scores. The hostel has common bathrooms on each of its three floors. There is no mess service; students must buy food from the college canteen or outside. Fees are semester-based and affordable. Monthly living expenses, including food, amount to around Rs. 25000. Timings are strictly regulated and facilities are typical of college hostels.

St. Xavier's infrastructure blends historical charm with modern amenities like equipped projectors but most of the classrooms does not have air conditioner facilities and it is considered a heritage structure. There is a staircase called as Hogwarts staircase. The college have two libraries one is main library and other is the lending library which have books related to all academic activities. The college also has leisure space known as 'Woods' which includes a large couple of tress one of the loudest areas of Xavier's and two audio-visual centers. For sports, it has Gymkhanna which include badminton court, gym, table tennis, carrom, and chess, and on campus, there is a basketball and Volleyball court. In St. Xavier High there is also a full-fledged football turf. There is a college hall and a college chapel also and that's why St. Xavier is considered as prime location for moving shooting like Hichki, paa, main hoon na, and student of the Year 2

Overall campus life is amazing. More than 70% of students are Christian or Mallu. ‘Malhar’, one of the most popular college festivals in the city, is hosted by students of this college. It is an inter-collegiate youth festival and last year AP Dhillion was invited. ‘Jan fest’ is a well-known Indian classical musical festival in India, held in January and hosted by Indian musical group of this college and it has played host to maestros of Indian classical music like Zakir Hussian and Ravi Shankar. Other fests like ‘Zephyrus’ and ‘Ithaka’ are also conducted.
