IIT Madras Faculty Profile

The faculty members are excellent, to say in one word. I am now in my 3rd semester and all the professors teaching core subjects are good and friendly. Most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D and Post-Doc from Foreign Universities and after that, they became a faculty member here. The teachers teach us mostly on projectors through presentation of slides in the projector. Regular tutorials are conducted which are discussed in the class by the faculties or the teaching assistants. The approximate teacher-student ratio in the Institute is about 1:20. The faculty you get here is the best in class as all the faculty members have Ph.D degrees in their subject. They have great experience of teaching by which you don't feel that you are watching an recorded lecture. Also in the doubt session the teachers are so friendly to us by which it makes us more comfortable to ask our doubt to them. Indian Institute of Technology Madras consists of great set of professor's and teaching assistants with excellent reputation and experience. The professor’s way of teaching is unlike what I have experienced in my past education.
