DIT University Dehradun Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

The DIT University has built several hostels within the campus to offer accommodations for both male and female students separately. Each hostel has a well-designed infrastructure and are equipped with necessary facilities to provide a homely environment to the students.

At DIT University Dehradun, 6 hostels are available i.e., 4 for boys and 2 for girls. The hostel rooms are allotted to the students in different occupancies including single, double, and triple. Moreover, the hostels can accommodate 1200 boys and approximately 1000 girls in their respective accommodations. The DIT University hostel fees for boys and girls ranges from Rs. 70,000/- to 85,000/- (includes only room rent for 10 months).

There are approximately 4 hostels for boys namely ‘Sarabhai, Bhabha, Raman, and Bose’. On the other hand, there are 2 hostels namely ‘Sarojni & Kasturba’ for the girls. The hostel fee depends on several factors including the occupancy type and others.

* The students opting for hostels at the University need to pay a hostel security fee of Rs. 5000/- which is refundable. Students can visit the official website to get more information about the hostel fees.

The authorities of the University have formed some rules and regulations in order to maintain discipline among the students at the hostels. Students opting for the accommodations in the hostels need to abide by the rules. In case of any violation, the authorities will take necessary disciplinary action against the responsible one.

• Illegal practices such as gambling, possession, consumption of alcohol, narcotics, etc. are prohibited within the University / hostel premises.
• The hostellers cannot interchange their allotted room without any prior permission from the respective authorities.
• Ragging is strictly banned within the hostel premises. The authorities will take strict actions against the responsible student as per the pre-defined rules of the DIT University.
• Students need to maintain silence from 10:30 PM to 6:00 AM within the hostel premises.
• Residents cannot use any electrical appliances in the rooms of the hostel. Moreover, they are not allowed to meddle with provided electrical fitting available in the rooms.
• The hostel residents cannot organise any social gathering within the residential premises without any prior permission from the authorities.
• The hosteller cannot stay overnight outside the hostels without seeking prior written permission (including the necessary details) from the respective authorities.

The DIT University provides several facilities within the hostels so that students can get a comfortable environment. To ensure the safety of the students, various security guards are available and several CCTV cameras are installed within the hostel premises.

The DIT University hostel rooms have a proper ventilation system & are equipped with required amenities such as separate box bed with mattress, wardrobe, table and chair. Moreover, there is an open-air amphitheater within the hostel area with a seating capacity of around 500 students to organise extra-curricular activities.

Each hostel has a separate well-equipped kitchen and dining halls to offer hygienic food to the hostellers. The dining halls can accommodate around 600 boys and 400+ girls at a time. The canteen available in the hostels operate between 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Moreover, special meals are provided to the hostellers on festivals.
