Stella Maris College was tough to get admission, it is clearly on merit basis (above 90%) but once you get in, each and every day they conduct celebrations which makes you to cherish your college days with college mates. I really had a great time over there. They included sports program, a credit subject in which everyone is able to come across at least one sports activity. Apart from funny events and cultural fests they balance things on the academic side also. They are strict too. I'm Shobana, freshly graduated in commerce from Stella Maris College, located in Chennai which is exclusively for women. Well I'm here to share my experience which I had in three years at Stella Maris College, opinions may differ from people to people but experience might be familiar among people. Stella Maris is one among the top most college in Chennai and a famous one in Kerala too. It is indeed a dream for many students including me to get admission at Stella Maris College due to its reputation and popularity. Stella focuses on providing opportunities to girl children across all sections of the society. Stella's vision is not only to make its students score good ranks but also empower them, while I was a student I have witnessed a lot of programs conducted to empower women. Since then I can see a lot of changes in me. Stella offers numerous scholarships to people who could not afford the fee and to be honest I was one among the students who finished college with the help of scholarship amount. Apart from this Stella Maris College conducts numerous programs to help students achieve their dreams of studying abroad through collaborating with prestigious agents like IDP. Stella Maris College is an Autonomous college which is located in Cathedral Road Chennai. I joined Stella in the year 2021 and completed B.Com general successfully in 2024. To share my experience there, Teaching is extremely good and it is well known college for extracurricular activities especially charitable work.
