Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has a lush green serene campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure which offers students a lively atmosphere to learn and grow. The campus has around 14 blocks with adequate amenities providing a conducive learning environment to the students.
The campus of BITS Pilani is spread across an area of around 328 acres and has a built up area of approximately 2,89,393 square meters. The facilities that are available at BITS Pilani campus includes technologically advanced classrooms, hostel, research laboratories, sports facilities, gymnasium, food courts, and several others.
The BITS Pilani campus has modern and advanced amenities offering students enhanced learning experience and an engaging environment. The University has a Tele-Presence room and ICT and Wi-Fi enabled classrooms with LCD projectors to provide e-learning to the students.
Moreover, there is an auditorium named ‘J. C. Chaudhry NAB Auditorium’ with a seating capacity of over 200 students. In addition, there is a ‘Rakesh Varma Convention Center’ that consists of two complexes i.e., ‘Guest Room Block’ & ‘Convention Block’.
A conference hall of about 200 seating capacity, a dining hall, and a multipurpose hall are present within the ‘Convention Block’. Furthermore, around 6 suite rooms, 100 executive rooms, and 1 room for differently-abled individuals are available at the ‘Guest Room Block’.

- Library: The central library of the BITS Pilani campus is built on an area of around 65,000 square feet and has a seating capacity of about 950 students. The library has approximately 2,03,785 print books, 40+ print journals, around 1931 thesis, and over 40,877 bound volumes. In addition, there is a ‘Shri.G.D Birla Rare Books Section’ which has around 2088 rare books.
A digital library is present with about 14,992 e-journals, 2,65,120+ e-books. Moreover, amenities such as photocopying, OPAC, Wi-Fi, and many others are available at the library for the students.
- Laboratories: At the campus, Information Processing Centre (IPC) is available to provide a central computing facility to the students. Moreover, separate departmental computer labs are available.
Moreover, to provide practical knowledge to the students, several departments like Biological Sciences, Civil Engineering, etc. have their own labs. Some of the labs include Microbiology lab, the Central Analytical lab, Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) lab, etc.
- Sports: BITS Pilani campus has state-of-the-art infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor sports like Volleyball, Football, Hockey, Tennis, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Water Polo, etc.
Furthermore, the University has professional coaches & instructors to teach and guide students. Moreover, students are encouraged to participate in various intra & inter-collegiate sports tournaments.
- Hostel: The BITS Pilani Hostel facilities are available for both girls’ & boys’ with all the required facilities. There are around 11 hostels for boys’ and 1 hostel complex for girls’. The hostels have around 3224 fully-furnished rooms, having facilities such as study tables, wardrobe, cots, chairs, internet access, etc. Moreover, amenities such as mess, TV, telephone, internet connectivity, etc. are available for the students.
- Canteen: At the campus, a ‘All Night Canteen’(ANC) is available to serve a variety of snacks and beverages to the students. Moreover, various small shops and an ‘Amul Parlour’ are present.
- Medical Facility: A medical centre equipped with all essential equipment is available at the premises to offer healthcare assistance to the students. Moreover, experienced doctors are present at the centre to provide specialised medical assistance for the well-being of the students.
- Gymnasium: A dedicated gym is present for students within the campus, assisting them carry out weight training exercises, cardio, and aerobics.
