The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has built several hostels with modern infrastructure & world class facilities for boys’ and girls’ separately. Additionally, all the students including outstation and day scholar can avail the accommodation facility at the BITS Pilani hostels.
Inside the campus of the BITS Pilani, there are approximately 12 hostels which are referred as Bhawans, out of which 11 are for boys’ and 1 is for girls’. These are Gandhi Bhawan, Krishna Bhawan, Vyas Bhawan, Shankar Bhawan, Meera Bhawan, etc. All these Bhawans have a total of around 3224 fully furnished rooms, offering excellent living amenities like bed, cot, study table, etc. so that students can focus on their academics and enjoy their hostel life. At the BITS Pilani Campus, there are about 11 boys’ and 1 girls’ hostels which are called ‘Bhawans’, offering comfortable living space to the students. Each Bhawan has several rooms which are equipped with adequate amenities such as study tables, cots, wardrobes, and chairs along with the shared washrooms.
The University’s management has assigned competent staff including wardens, associate wardens, superintendent, and several others in order to create a safe and secure living environment at the BITS Pilani hostel premises.
The BITS Pilani hostel mess is managed by Society for Student Mess Service (SSMS). Moreover, a dining hall with seating space of around 400 students is present at the hostel to serve 3 meals a day to the students i.e., Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
There are various playgrounds & courts for the games like Cricket, Snooker, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, and various others within the campus for the hostellers. In addition, there are approximately 2 common rooms which have Table Tennis, TV, multistation (for workout), Automatic Vending Machines, etc.
A ‘Medical Center’ is available at the University’s accommodations which offer first-aid to the students in case of emergency. Moreover, the Bhawans have tie-ups with a nearby hospital and have an ambulance facility so that residents can get medical assistance.
