Chitkara University started its operations in 2002 under the aegis of Chitkara Educational Trust. Located at Patiala, Punjab, this State-Private University is approved by UGC.
The University is recognised by PCI, BCI, Indian Nursing Council (INC), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Scientific and Industrial Research Organisations (SIRO), Council of Architecture (COA), National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). It is also accredited by NAAC.
A number of Schools / Colleges / Institutes are there at the Institution namely, Chitkara Business School, Institute of Engineering & Technology, College of Pharmacy, and many others. In addition, courses are available on different levels including UG, PG, Diploma, and Ph.D at a cost-effective fee structure.

* It is to be noted that in the aforementioned table, only the program fee is stated and students are required to pay several other charges. Also, some of the courses at the Institution are offered in collaboration with foreign Universities. Therefore, their fees may differ.
Note: For above-mentioned UG & PG Courses like BBA, MBA, M.Des, M.Pharm, students need to obtain at least 50% aggregate marks. Moreover, students have to appear for the Personal Interview (PI) round at the University except for the B.E and few other programs.
Admission Process
The University accepts applications of the students through both online and offline mode. In addition, students can either apply via its official website or download the admission form (available on the website) and submit it on the campus.
Additionally, Chitkara University admission seats are to be filled on the basis of qualifying exam score / State or National level entrance test / Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) round, as per the requirement of the respective courses.
* Admissions are open for International students as well. However, their fees, eligibility conditions, and other processes may vary.
Reservation Criteria
At the University, some of the admission seats are reserved for students belonging to different categories like 15% of seats for domicile students of Punjab. In addition, for SC / ST / OBC / Differently-abled or others, seats will be filled as per the guidelines of the State Government.

Students applying at the Institution and in a need of financial support can avail a number of Scholarships. The University provides a Post-Matric Scholarships for SC / OBC category students which can be availed through Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal.
